How about this. .. don't attack the IFBB and u can say pretty much anything u want... I'd ask u or anyone to take it easy on the sponsors (IML/ GAT) only w legit gripes not belligerent attacks... but if u want to blow up Species make sure u get me to see the thread lol u won't get banned.

It is what it is. It seems to me that this new forum will slowly grow. Over moderation kills forums. The only reason I signed up here was to view contest pictures because the new NPCnewsonline format is poor. I never had an interest in posting on this site due to the over moderation and lack of participation. Now that I'm here with an account I post sometimes, but in general this site doesn't appeal to me.

There's nothing wrong with a little bit of board "drama".

I don't post there but Getbig is by far the most entertaining bodybuilding forum. The only problem is the lack of contest coverage which is almost ironic as Ron attends as many shows as possible.

Just my .02 cents. The one thing I know about this forum is that the members opinions never seem to count regardless.

I'll continue to browse and post though.

Exhibit A would be my focus with regard to moderating or deletions or bans.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of board drama, but when a member registers specifically for the purpose of getting banned? That's absurd.

And it seems to happen not infrequently.

Someone gets banned from another board for being argumentative and they register here, bringing along those same behaviors or attitudes or even a grudge at having been unjustly evicted from their board of choice.

Give me your recommendations.

My recommendation would be to frequent Getbig, MD, PBB, Flex, Rx Muscle, NPC News Online and other boards for the different features they offer. Regardless of what PBB states, there is no one-stop shopping for bodybuilding information. Unless they plan on copying and pasting everything to their site.

I have maybe 15 posts on Getbig, but hasn't Ron had a policy of just letting the forums run themselves?

Can I ask you for any examples of what you mean when you say member opinions never seem to count? Because I sincerely want people to enjoy the forums as much as I do. Your opinion counts.

You -- unlike some -- haven't stepped over the line. You've come nowhere near any kind of common sense discussion/debate line, in fact.

Fwiw, I don't even know what mute means. I have used the ban hammer, however. And will no doubt use it in the future. If you come here solely to abuse members then you're stay will likely be short. Disagreements? Debate? That goes back to common sense. It's only human to disagree and I don't see a reason to ban anyone for disagreeing with a fellow member. Respect wouldn't be a bad approach, though, when having those disagreements.

This board is NOT visually appealing at all. There is too much going on.

For example Curt.....I see five sponsors in your signature. It looks cheesy.

I'm great with sponsors and I understand the "no bashing" sponsor rule.

But whoever created the layout for this board did a piss poor job. It was better in the past. There is just way too much going on.

I even went to MD for awhile for the contest coverage due to it taking too long to scroll through one post.

It may sound like a very minor detail but you can damn well bet it subconsciously makes a difference.

With 35K posts, I can see where my signature block would make a difference. Scrolling through that, especially if I've posted ten times on one page... =8^O

They're not disappearing, but I can reduce their size.

I feel people should be allowed to give their opinions on the IFBB/NPC.

HOWEVER....I know this is a slippery slope and a fine line.

I pray to the Gods that this site never becomes like Siouxcountry. What an absolute horrific mess that site has become. It's all conspiracy theories and ridiculous ones at that. What Jason has done with it is an embarrassment to the female side of the sport. I don't see this site heading in that direction....I'm just reiterating because that site is so incredibly stupid.

I'd still like to see people allowed to give their true thoughts about the IFBB/NPC. I suppose it's all in the wording.

"The winner of that show sucked the judges cocked!!" is unacceptable and quite frankly rather immature.

"I think maybe the winners placing was due to her affiliation with this particular judge and here's why....." is acceptable in my opinion. As long as it's not some stupid conspiracy theory such as "they live in the same city" or "her coach is sponsoring the show". But even stupid comments like that should be allowed really. As long as it's worded diplomatically.

Again....more of my opinion. Many will disagree with me.
