Another excellent article John. Every one of your articles I read, I stop, I get my "back in the day" fix (i'm just a couple years behind Curt), I get an Andy Rooney ".. and that's the Rest of the Story", I learn a whole bunch of stuff I didn't know, I get a personal insight into one of those personalities that I know from the sport, but really dont' know much ABOUT them, and really just stop to absorb the whole story and reflect on the size of the sport over time and across the world. It is very small, but also so incredibly large.
Thanks so much for reminding of where it all came from, what's going on now, what it means, and where we're still going.
RIP Larry, soon RIP Veterans Memorial - my first time there was around 2002.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I agree with you that it's important to remember the history of bodybuilding. I was just talking to Bill Grant the other day on the phone and he was so upset about Larry Scott dying because he was such an icon of the sport and also because he was such a great guy. Bill said that, in his opinion, bodybuilding was so much fun back in the day. He misses those good times in the past. I'm glad I was around to witness some of that history too. It's funny how many little details I can remember from back then but I think it was because, as a kid, I would read the magazines over and over again because that was the only information we had back then until the next month when the new magazine came out.
