Some of you may believe that I've defended Christian in the past (and presently) because he's on staff. Not so, however, yeah, if it's a n00b member versus a longtime member then I have been known to favor the resident rather than the new arrival.

But with Christian, he does produce an incredible amount of content and I enjoy his video interviews and articles. Do I always agree with them 100%? No.

In this case, I will point out that stating...

I'm not attacking you, Christian, and it's great that you have the opportunity to speak to a true legend of the sport, but I'd want Yates' rebuttal to be that specific.

I agree Curt. We've been talking about this for 3 days. His positions is, his true fans know what he's all about; however, he understands that people are upset and he wanted to give me that quote. I, too, wish he would have said more and I tried to make that happen. This is all The Shadow said.

It is shameful - Revisionism is a crock of shit. As a History Major at UF and a lifelong history buff I know that. There is no doubt the Holocaust happened and it was far MORE than six million who died at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators.

It is both offensive and utterly bunk to dispute the horrors committed against humanity.

I really wanted the kind of comment Curt talked about, but once you approach someone for a statement, you can't exactly pull the plug when you don't get the statement you want. That's bad journalism.

As a professional historian (Ivy League PhD), I question Dorian's claim he was just "questioning history." You debate/question whether the railways to Auschwitz should have been bombed or if US immigration laws should have been modified in the 1930s, not if the Holocaust occurred. Or you debate/question xenophobia in America :-) So, Christian, I suggest the title of the post should not be "In Defense of Dorian" or at least add a question mark to the end of the title. I hate revisionism as much as everyone else - and as far as your comments pertaining to those who promote that type of writing, you're speaking truth. I honestly don't know why on Earth he'd post that on his wall - it's rubbish.

I studied under Geoffrey Giles, Cambride-educated scholar on German History & the Holocaust at the University of Florida. There's no denying the Holocaust or the horrors of the Third Reich. Revisionists, particularly their leader David Irving, are complete hacks.

I just wanted to give Dorian the opportunity to speak and get his words here without him breaching his contract to MD. That was my only motivation, and like Curt said, he really didn't say what needed to be said.
