One, he's an asshole, two, he play for the 49's, which, in turn makes him an asshole. This guy's been in trouble ever since he's been in the league.That "bomb" he shouted was his NFL and personal life about to go up in smoke.....if he would have done that in Boston, they would have kicked his ass back to S.F....Please, no rehab, JAIL TIME.

So your saying it's ok for a person to say he has a bomb when boarding a plane ? Would you board that plane if someone on there said he has a bomb? I think jail might be the help he needs . And I have zero clue if he's mentally disturbed. I see a 24 year old millionaire that needs a reality check.

No denying he needs help....but let him get that AFTER he is locked up for a bit and misses a year of salary in the NFL. Too many entitled punks in todays sports. 3 Felony gun charges and a DUI in a 1 month span then you scream bomb because you are pissed about the random TSA screening that you got put through. These people think they are above the law and can do as they please.

We created this too, its not the money (so much) that causes this. Its the lack of discipline these kids have growing up, in school, and college. And its the pedestal we put these kids on from high school on. Such bullshit we have ESPN covering college signing day. We are making these kids gods before they have proven anything.

Carolyn. The only way you learn is when it costs you money. Evidently he has lost enough. I agree he needs help maybe he will seek it. It's a shame to see the talent he has get wasted. The 49ers are not the victim here and I have heard that on talk radio. They knew what kind of risk he was when they drafted him.

I saw this when I got to high school. Leaving school me and 2 other senior football players in my truck were harassed by some middle school kids. I stopped my truck because they threw an apple at my truck. We got out and yelled at them, they came storming toward the truck yelling ready and acting tough. Couldn't touch them because we could kiss our lives away!

But when my friends and I were that age we would either have had our asses kicked by the older kids or our asses beat by our parents. Both options led us to the conclusion its not a good idea to act like a punk.

Seems to me he should get off and plead "affluenza" as a defense like the 16-yr old kid in Texas who got drunk and killed 4 people. No jail time for him so why does Smith need prison? He can join the kid at the $450k a year rehab center in Cali. Because he can afford it.

Well there is a big difference between the two.. One is 16 the other is 24. Are you saying aldon is retarded and didn't know better??? Cause that's what it seems like.

I wrote something about him a while back for a sports site. This guy has been getting his ass into trouble for a loooong time. He's just one of those guys that's a problem but gets a pass because of his physical ability. I think he had somewhere around 42 sacks his first 3 seasons. That either tied him, or put him in second place, for the most sacks ever in your first 3 seasons....and hes missed a bunch of games! hes a menace on and off the field....and he'll be on the next version of Broke like 15 years from now
