There are way too many variables to come up with a finite number. PFA if you do some G4P it probably wouldn't cost you much. LOL J/K bro

A better question might be... "How can upcoming National-level competitors and IFBB Pros earn that cash?"
Sponsors
Personal training
Gym ownership
Supplement store ownership
Physical therapist
Or maybe what careers dovetail with bodybuilding?
That might be a worthless question, though, if you look at people like Ronnie Coleman in law enforcement and Branch Warren in... What was his business? Mark Dugdale had a family produce business... a big operation shown in his DVD "Driven". Who else?
Troy Zuccolotto took his WBF earnings and opened up a chain of car washes and also at least one life extension-type clinic in Florida? Thought I remembered an interview...
Stan McQuay was a very successful personal trainer long before he was awarded his IFBB Pro card, wasn't he? Working with some A-list celebrities?Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

Serostim 126iu/kit (from AIDS patients) - $3-400/kit
Conservatively 6iu/day = 1 kit every three weeks = 17 kits/yr
Total annual GH cost = $5,200 - $7,000
2G Test/wk = 1 vial/wk = $30/wk = $1,560 annually
Anabolic (Deca or EQ) 1G/wk = 1/2vial/wk = $15/wk = $780 annually
Tren 1G/wk = 1 vial/wk = $40-5-/wk = ~$2,340 annually
Anadrol = 150mg (3 tabs) daily (half year assumption)= 540 tabs = $350 annually
Slin 100iu/day = 1 vial every ten days = 3 vial/mo = 36 vial/yr x $25 = $900 annually
AAS cost annually = approx (many variables at play but as a guideline) $5,930
Food = approx (obvious guess but in my estimation close) $300/wk
Total approx. food cost annually = $15,600
Ancillary costs - deep tissue massage weekly, IFBB membership dues annually, travel costs not covered by IFBB, etc
= ???few grand?????
Approximate annual cost of bodybuilding related expenses as top pro = $29,730 - $31,530Fill up the syringe...
