Read an above post.. I already stated whites are terrible sprinters in the Olympic level sense.. And I never said genetics didn't have the biggest role in bbing.. I stated genetics aren't the main factor in powerlifting/strongman... So your arguing bbing and sprinting to yourself.. I can do this all day everyday ..

If I'm 7ft tall, my odds of NBA dreams are better. If I was born with Phil Heath blood in me, I have an edge in the bodybuilding world . Strongman you can be short, fat, tall , lean, black, white, slow, fast , dumb, smart etc... Hard work and technique will beat genetics in power lifting and strongman ...

Bbing, genetics is at least 35% of what you need.. The rest is drugs, and hard work.
there is plenty of genetic gifts towards sm and pl. have you ever met a real big real strong dude that doesnt work out and his job isnt really that physical to explain his strength? imagine if he spent the last 10-15 years training smart for one of those sports.

No . Give anyone 10 straight years of juice and proper training , he will be good at lifting weights .

Missing legs and the other example lacking a hand, but they still have an advantage over the normal man. Come on, if I lost a hand I'd probably never tie my shoes again. Jim Abbott obviously was blessed with superior genetics -- the right eye-hand coordination, speed, etc. -- as well as being born without a hand.

Likewise a sprinter who can makes those Flex-Foot Cheetahs do their thing. Oscar Pistorius -- legs or no legs -- is not your average athlete. Is it genetics or is it hard work?

Gabriel Brizuela, professor of biomechanics at the University of Spain, (snip) points out that several amputee athletes use the same exact Cheetah models as Pistorius, yet none have come close to the competitive times he’s recorded.

I don't believe those images deny superior genetics. You can't always detect potential by looking at someone, right?

Dexter Jackson was, what, 99 lbs. to start? Or a buck-thirty? He had a great structure but you'd never guess he'd blow up like he did.

Otoh, Eddie Robinson -- if I'm not mistaken -- has stated that he became a bodybuilder because he looked like a bodybuilder. Obvious genetics that steered him towards the sport.

Speed, snap, coordination? How does that video deny the claim that genetics count?

Hard work and skill training obviously counts as well. The marriage of superior genetics and an outstanding work ethic will produced the greatest success, imo.

So you are saying genetics alone will not make you look like dexter Jackson over night ?? And Evan Centopani was gifted with Ronnie Coleman like genetics?? Jeremy Jackson's genetics were hiding from us for lots of years?? Missing 2 legs is a beneficial genetic trait for running?? Having 1 hand is better for kids of they want to succeed in baseball??

All i I said from the start was strongman and powerlifting is not solely based on genetics.. That's a fact.. And that's disrespectful to say towards Olympic lifters.. They train, and train hard.. They don't just go shake their parents hand and say " thanks for fucking mom and dad. That's all I needed to make it to the Olympics"
i can keep this thread going for months with examples ..
