Body Language... women sitting or walking with their arms crossed?
I read a few online comments on this, but I wanted to get a sample from the women of RX.
Generally, what do you take this body language to mean?
closed off/defensive posture?
insecure?
cold?
a message NOT to look at a woman's breasts?... I've heard this one a lot, but it rarely made sense to me, since usually this move will create more cleavage... accentuating the breasts even more.
Or does it mean anything at all... I see men do this less often, but I admit I tend to do a lot of arm crossing when I'm sitting in meetings and conference calls, particularly when I don't have the floor, or that my presence is needed, but I still have to be there anyway.

I don't think it means anything at all! Just a way to sit...

Can only speak for myself - but can have a few different meanings -
I tend to do it when someone is talking more extensively and I'm thinking/absorbing what they are saying - similar to your reference to meetings....
Also have been known to do it when I'm ticked off and trying to control my urge to say more than I should at the moment..... but, in those moments, no one is guessing what it means...LOL
and yes - cold
Never means insecurity or a closed off/defensive attitude for me.....~Lorrie ~ Mediocrity is NOT an option! ~

It matters, you have to read their face too. Like if someone is uncomfortable by doing fake laugh, looking a bit down or at other things, and then (or while) crossing their arms and legs that means get away. If they are happy, laughing, you can be a bit touchy, or they are a bit touchy, and/or they don't pull away when you touch them, and then cross their arms and or legs that means that is how they are sitting.
You have to read their faces, listen to their tone of voice, and everything else while applying your knowledge of body language.
Also by touching I mean like if you tried to get something off their shirt (like a hair) would they pull away like a what the hell matter or would they just sit still and let you get it. Even at that point it matter how and how much they pull away. If it is a slow that means they want to see what you are going for rather than "holy shit don't touch me you creep".

Thinking about it,when I do that gesture I am feeling either of the two, either i feel anxious or i feel irritated. It may differ to other girls/women though.
