Blasting while on TRT
Some background to provide the foundation for my question.
I have been on TRT for quite a while now. I am taking cypionate. My prescribed dosage is 200mg every two weeks. I split that up into 4 injections. Prior to my last bloodwork (2/06/14) I was doing a little upping of my dosage and was taking 140mg per week as opposed to the prescribed 100mg. Two weeks prior to my blood work I went back to my prescribed dosage. My results were a bit elevated but the doc felt that it was as a result of having given myself an injection the day before the labs were drawn and so he decided not to change anything at this time (fortunate for me). Here are my results as of 2/06/14:
Total Test 1286 (they work on a baseline scale of 250-1100)
Free Test 339.5 (base 35-155)
Estradiol 35 (I was a bit high the labs before so I am now on Anastrozole. I take .25mg 24 hours after each injection and this protocol seems to be working nicely for me so far)
After I received this lab work I did not go back on the prescribed dosage but did not go as high as before either. I am currently using 120mg per week as opposed to the 140mg before. I have been doing this since mid-February.
I have decided I want to blast and cruise on a regular basis. My thoughts on this are:
- I want to get as much results as I can from as little as possible so that I have somewhere to go as my blasts progress. Since I've done fairly well on less than 150mg per week, my thought is to go to between 200mg-300mg per week for 10 weeks and then come back to the prescribed cruise (100mg per week) for a determined amount of time (not sure how long that should be) before I blast again. How does this sound?
- Do I maintain my current Anastrozole regimen or does that need to change with the upping of the dose? I think my levels were between 50-60 when I was originally prescribed it.
- Also, I feel like I need to be on my cruise dosing for at least a month before my bloodwork so that I am in range. I don't want to take the chance of having the doc pull the scrip. Thoughts on this?
- Lastly, I am 5'8" and currently weigh around 203. My BF% is more than it should be but not terrible (not sure what it is).
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

shorter times on and off would be my only suggestion. your idea seems good other than that. 4-6 weeks b&c. this method seems to keep people healthier and give better results most of the time.

My "friend" listen to Joe a long time ago and does this. Stays on the trt never stops, blasts for 4 weeks on top of that trt with short acting stuff, rotates prop, npp, tren ace, maybe an oral for 4 weeks or so and stops for 4 weeks or so. Yes you will have to adjust your ai for that time depending on how much test you add. Sometimes my friend does not add any in a blast and just upps the anabolics depending on goal.
This is probably the safest way to run when on a real legit trt. Those long cycles will throw you off too much.Stop by my Training Log: RichDC2's Log

I like Joe and Rich's suggestions. I'm on HRT and can't stand being on higher doses for too long, side effects catch up and can make things miserable.

shorter blast
I like that idea, Joe. So, for right now, rather than adding anything on top of it, I think I will up to 250mg for 4 weeks and then back to TRT for 4. See how I do on the 250mg. If I gain then I'll keep it there until I don't. If I don't then I'll go up to 300mg or so. How does that sound?
On this type of blast, will I see results within the 4 weeks? and they'll keep compounding each time I blast?
Thanks!

Also, what about the AI, Joe? Will I need to up it given my current level?

As a new member to the TRT group, I'm following this thread closely...
Only on week 2 of Rx test and not feeling a damn thing, but didn't expect to either. I was planning on a short blast after the upcoming 1st followup appt, so I need to know more about blast length, how long to get off before testing, etc.
The only thing i have available (easily!) is Test-E, and have a ton of it.

So, I've looked at when my next labs are scheduled (mid-August). Here's what I am thinking. I've seen growth going just above my maintenance dosage (120mg/wk). My idea is to bump that to 250mg/wk for 4 weeks (injecting 130mg on Tuesday and 120mg on Saturday). Then cruise at maintenance for 2 weeks. Blast again for 4 weeks (upping dosage only if I didn't see results from first blast) then back to cruise for 4 weeks at the end of which I get my labs drawn. That way I can get 2 blasts in before my next labs. Thoughts?
Also, what should I watch for to determine whether I should up my Anastrozole dosage (currently .25 mg 24 hrs after each injection)?
I would start the blast tomorrow.

labs
{QUOTE=joe d;2016619]i would only do the 1 blast now. give yourself time to make sure your bloods come back good. if he orders a long list of tests and you come back with symptoms of aas damage he isnt going to be very open to therapy in the future.[/QUOTE]
I actually already have the lab order. He is asking for:
Total Test
PSA
CBC
Estradiol
Free Test
I'll stick with the one blast. Should I up it to 6 weeks then?
My regular MD will be getting labs from me next month:
CBC
Comprehensive metabolic panel
Lipid panel
Would the extra test affect those?
By the way, my urologist handles my test but my regular MD is aware of it.
