Lada aka Bronwyn says hi :)
Its been some time when I last time posted here. Having not good connection I could not post here and come here for some time as my computer was not working well.
I am still on facebook, right now I am posting updated story of mine and also a lot of pics we did this season... if you are at FB come to say hi and chat there www.facebook.com/Lada.Bronwyn.Plihalova
Otherway I did WPD at Arnolds again, but I was dead last. I was not hard again, but I was bigger and even more crazy V shape and I think some girls were way more off than me, and they placed better... so I was pretty down.
I am still struggling with being an immigrant, still we pay to lawyers and fees so I trained in the basement gym of our building and this season was for long long time my last...
To not "retire" (I do not like the word as it is too definite) as looser Daniel helped me to get to Desert Classic in Las Vegas, where I took 1st place as bodybuilder and 2nd as physique. I was surprised mainly by my result as bodybuilder I still have the X factor there I think
few pics for you girls...and sending you all my best to your competitions! Enjoy them and good luck!

Who the hell knows w/ the judging - but what I see is a beautiful quad sweep and tie-in in your front double-bi and really like your side hammy. I don't want to see "X" form disappear in favor of blocky competitors .. keep doing what you're doing!

Hi Al,
nice to see you too. I am thinking about having a training log again, to keep going when I can not plan anything ahead... I let myself go too much in food now and I know I need to get the focus back.
Thanks. I was trying to bring the X factor to the game always. I have the same view... I do not want nice shapes being overpowered by blocky but more ripped physiques... as for me the frame was what brought me to this sport...

Nothing much. We are in the middle of the fight for permanent residency visa in Canada, so I had to retire. I had money problems already some time, as my education is somehow not valid here, but now I really can not go on. So I backed off. I am trying to get some competitors as a personal and online coach as that work satisfies me a lot. And I may give back that way what I gained during my years of training and competing. Its not easy and its nerve wracking sometimes...
BTW I just finished some pics we did after my last show, showing my real conditioning stage lights always wash out a bit...

I train almost every day. Setting up my old goals for example in lifts. I dont know how to train light... but question I solve every training is WHY...
Thanks Al. Its somewhere in the middle for us. Till September our situation will be not clearer... I already can not work anymore and I solve my next legal stay in... World changed. It is not easy to live anywhere you want now..
Hard to believe Gail, I did everything I might this season and it ended up as a disaster. I was told honestly even being great I have no chance to pro card as I am from small country with no relationship to anyone important and no big sponsor. I have 6 chances a year (US girls has 72 or 74) and 5 of them I have to get the overall title. Impossible. So I gave it up. Someone said doing the same thing and expecting different outcome is the sign of insanity. But I may have my training log again. I post also pics and videos on my facebook almost daily - to motivate others and keep myself going.
BTW this is my bikini I trained this spring... I was so proud she was able to finish it all... I was thinking to go this way now - to build myself as a coach and give back to others, who still may have dreams and fun competing! That is what I really want!

Don't know who told you that you have no chance because you are from a small town with no major sponsor...but I disagree! I don't think you should give up! You have 6 chances a year to WALK on stage and win a pro card, I have a 20% chance of walking again....and I still won't give up! Life is full of ups and downs....live for the ups!

Well this was her first show. She was before skinny-fat, recovering from anorexia. She did not place top 5, I think she was 7th and 8th (we did two classes, bikini and model) but it was great to see her confident in bikini in front of all those people... She had flaws in presentation though, and she spilled night before the show... but those are newbie pains and next shows I believe it will be better (if she will go). I was proud she did it. I had second girl but she quit due to diet.... some people will never make it to stage.
Thanks.
OH Gail, I know. I read something at facebook and I hope all will work good for you. It is true sometimes we forget what is really important in life. Sometimes I should READ MY OWN STORY to remind days when I was paralyzed from neck down and returning to normal life....
It is just the situation all around us. Like nothing is going well now - job issues from the time I left Europe, I never understand how important may be projects I worked at back home, as I found out that validation of foreign education is not working smoothly anywhere... than visa fights, piles of papers, money for institutions and lawyers... uncertainity what will be next few months... small things but piled up. But you are right... if you are still alive you may still do something...

BTW this is the difference between 2013/2014 shape/conditioning.
I had 30$/week for food and 900$ for all other stuff (all sups, tan, suits etc. off course minus traveling costs). I trained in apt. building gym, with no heating system in the winter as I could not have gym membership... and this was the result.
