David Dearth says that the pro bodybuilders of today makes him wanna puke
His facebook:
Morning y'all
Just want to throw out my opinion on the fucked up state that bodybuilding is today. When I look at professional bodybuilding I actually throw up in my mouth. A bunch of huge disfigured guys with 40 inch waist who all look the same. Eating all day long then training extremely heavy then eating and taking naps the rest of the day.....wow! Between eating and napping taking ungodly amounts of steroids and growth and don't worry if you have a weak body part just shove some synthol in there and you'll be fine. Also don't worry about things because the judges will reward your lazy cheating asses.
Also you don't have to be worried about being a role model because you are. You're a role model for young up and coming bodybuilders who are no longer doing cardio because most pros don't. They are taking unhealthy amounts of steroids because most pros do and instead of working extra hard to bring up a lagging body part, fuck it where's my synthol? Bodybuilding has become a cult again.
The covers of magazines are now sporting the men with the board shorts because that's what the general public wants to see and can relate to. So keep cheering for Big Ramey and the nasty looking freaks that bodybuilding has become and I will stick with my preference of Flex Wheeler, Shawn Ray Lee LaBrada, Francis Benfatto Aaron Baker Kevin LeVrone and these guys to me represented what I think bodybuilding champions should look like. This of course is my opinion like or hate it. This is my page so.....Last edited by Anders JP Eskilsson; 10-07-2015 at 11:12 AM.

Really?
Flex magazine isn't showing guys in board shorts...so which mags is he talking about?

uh...which mags is he reading?
He sounds like someone complaining about bodybuilding circa 2002.
There are too many shockingly huge guys without giant gh guts for the rant that was just posted.

I wrote this to him on his wall; what about all the complaints about huge or pregnant bellies during your competetive days? Or oil criticism against pro bbers like Ernie Taylor and a bunch of other guys. The tone then was like - oh we miss Bob Paris, Frank Zane and Gary Strydom - they all had tiny waists and absolutly no pregnant bellies or blocky physiques like Nasser and Yates.

Obviously the guy is entitled to his opinion, and having what I at least would consider a well proportioned and fairly impressive physique in his time, I certainly would listen, even if not agree with all of his thoughts. The synthol thing though,.. I always get the impression that things today aren't like they were back in the 90's, where you'd occasionally hear a mumbling about one or two guys 'pumping up' certain body parts before a big contest. It seems to be more a matter of fact at a certain level these days.(Any actual Pros or even National level guys feel free to chime in, I'm certainly not backstage at those shows so I can't speak with certainty)S

We should encourage the ifbb pros of today more instead of bashing them all the time - they are just as passionate as any of you other guys from the 90s

He might...that doesn't mean everyone else does....and Strydom wasn't small....and neither was Bob Paris.
At the same time, Dexter Jackson doesn't look pregnant and neither does Phil Heath.
He seems to be throwing out a bit too much dirt on these guys today because things have IMPROVED since the late 90's and early 00's.
To avoid acknowledging that is just wrong.
The biggest bellies were around back then, not now.

Also, his comment about what the "general public" wants is strange...because back in the day, people thought Strydom was a freak and they threw the same comments at those guys that they do Ronnie Coleman sized guys today.
He is flat out wrong about the board shorts...because the general public only accepts what they think they can achieve....and most of the physique guys are still way too big for them.Last edited by Professor X; 06-13-2014 at 02:10 PM.

It's just like any other sport. I played football in the 90's and we played so much harder etc. It really is a tired ass argument that has no basis. Bodybuilding changes from year to year because the athletes change, and this is the same in any sport or competition.
These men of today are no different than the so-called Golden Era. They are using the best of substances and information that's available at that given time.DON'T BE AVERAGE!!!

Everyone probably looks at their era as THE era. Their own personal golden age of bodybuilding.

If some one asked me what I would rather look like a mass monster or a men's physique model then I would choose to be a freak every time . For me I don't find the aesthetic frank Zane look inspiring . But every one has a right to a opinion which he's put across but to try and say that know one likes that look is too close minded . rather then
