Awesome debate.
Jr. National no bodybuilding Pro Cards and physique getting Pro Cards is a matter of marketing... The NPC and IFBB are trying to get exposure and interest from the public by doing this. About bodybuilding, they already know what their market is and how it stand to general public so no changes are going to make it more marketable instead of the new Physique "Model look" route.
Rich Piana is a marketable prospect for a niche in our community as well as the general public that don't care much about competing but more about the freaky attractive look.S.M.A.R.T. Aceto, Dave, John, Tad, and others with their experience are the blood of RX, using them in segments like this and behind the muscle will continue to make RX great seeing them on the boards is great too, I miss the days when Dave was on the boards and writing articles, Chris' articles too for that matter. This show is great please keep up the great work, this and heavy muscle and blue collar are the sound track always playing in my home.

Cody Montgomery trying to beat a death horse is not going to make him better in the eyes of the judges. Once you beat a contest move on to the next level.
Olympia on NBC has a marketing purpose that is to attract new public to the game of bodybuilding and is not intended to catch the eye of the current people that already know bodybuilding exist. It's been done in wrestling with great success so they are fallowing a formula that could make bodybuilding more marketable for the public eye.S.M.A.R.T. Now this is the real CODY I want to see...
It could be good that Rxmuscle make a fallow up to Cody Lewis

These are great! My only complaint would be the guy doing the in between wrap up is awful! He needs to just ask the questions and let the educated and skilled communicators do the talking.

Agree on that, plus I think is a great idea to bring a Master Pro class for only the NPC Masters qualified athletes. I'm sure they are going to pay the fee, because in the NPC we all have to make the registration payment in order to compete so no dishonor or demerit for that. I know Mike Yablon is on schedule to do the contest.

Just watching this now... I don't get a chance to watch too many vids these days since they stopped hosting them on the site and switched to YouTube.. unfortunately it's hard to access during the day... but don't get me wrong, I think the move to YouTube is a good thing.
Great concept as a debate show, although from the 2 I've seen, it still seems to me like a 2 on 1, as Dave - so far tends to side with Chris on more issues.
As for Cody and Piana debates.... to me there is some hypocrisy coming from both... you have the marketing side, and the competition side.
Chris on Piana says who cares if he's winning the big shows... he's got a great marketing angle and he's making money, but he wants Cody winning bigger shows. Maybe Cody doesn't want to win either like Piana, but he feels winning 3X would be good for marketing.
Hansen on Piana basically says he's bad for the sport despite his marketing and not wanting to compete seriously in big shows, but defends Cody staying at junior shows.
If it's all about Marketing, then it's hard to blame either Cody or Piana
If it's all about being the "Best of the Best", then you can blame both of them
IMHO.Last edited by PTB; 06-24-2014 at 12:21 PM.
