The biggest question should be why did he step down from MuscleTech Recently? That should bring a lot of suspicion and a lot of feedback may be directed off of that. I know this is a sport, and sporting involves a lot of money and politice, but that may skew his perception on leaving MT. That is what i think. A GREAT Physique, but his recent move may sketch his reputation a bit.

Disagree completely. Seems obvious to me that Phil Heath has done what any athlete would do -- gotten a better deal. He stepped away from MuscleTech because another company offered better money. Mercenary? No. A smart, confident athlete who recognizes his own value as well as possessing the full realization that he won't be the top dog forever. Get that money while you can.
Met him only once, but he was pleasant, professional and willing to spend a bit of time with a fan.

You do realize right under the bold i stated about the money correct? Lol. Just like branch leaving to go to gaspari due to money, just like you see in the NFL players leaving teams they played 5-6 years for due to money. Sure it may not tarnish him but some loyal MT Fans out there may be heart broken and skew their perception on him.
I have met the count probably 5-6 times and talked to him everytime in person I think he is a great guy, but again this is all about $$$$ just like every other sport out there.Last edited by The Solution; 07-04-2014 at 07:25 AM.

I'll be completely honest, I have never been the biggest fan of Phil. To me, he has always came off as a arrogant, self-entitled prick.
This being said,
This past year at the Arnold, a buddy and I were at the bar when Phil and his Wife walked in. We told the bartender to get them a drink of their choice on us. Both Phil and the Mrs. walked over and couldn't say how grateful they were and how much this meant to them. They stayed and chatted a while, then ended up sitting next to us for the night.
The way they reacted completely changed my outlook on him and I now call myself a "Phil fan"

Great comments. I think Generation Iron totally threw a monkey wrench into everyone's perspective. I've met Phil many times, but had I not, that movie would not have given me the best impression of him.

I've only met Phil once when he was guest posing in LA. I talked to him for quite a while and he was cool as shit with me even when I told him I was a Cutler fan.
Now some of the things I've seen him post on social media makes me scratch my head and wonder why.
Is it just a WWE persona he's trying to create? Like, "I'm the bad guy".CutlerAthletics.com
