Cha Cha Cha Chia!....seeds
So I have noticed more over the past year how popular the chia seed has become in the past year for the healthy minded customer. I'll admit when I first had seen them I thought it would just be some fad type of Dr. OZ product that would surely go away. But looking into more I see why someone would actually want to start using them more in the diet.
Chia seed are probably the most rich in omega-3 fatty acids of any of the plant seeds with at least 60% of its fat from omega-3's and the majority of them being from ALA. Also a single 2 tablespoon serving contains at least 11-12g of fiber which can be a great addition to those who struggle to get enough fiber in their diet. Again in that single serving is a great amount of Anti-oxidants and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and manganese.
So if you have ever been curious about trying them out you can always add some into your next order over at myoatmeal.com
