Another NBA owner forced to sell.....
I will post pics of his email that he self reported to the NBA.. I for one do not feel it is racist at all. I believe he is talking with common sense. He wants balance to his fan base is my opinion. The political correctness nowadays is ridiculous . If you tell it like it is and tell the truth is now frowned upon . This man is a business owner. He's trying to make money. Obviously the current path wasn't working so he's changing or trying to.

The email is not racist at all, IMO.
He was thinking of his current fan base at the games and how to attract another demographic. He noted the difference between Atlanta and DC, also.
Maybe this was an excuse to step down?

Here is an Op-Ed by Kareem Abdul-Jabaar.
Sure, there are assumptions he makes that are cringe-worthy—but the questions about how to attract more white fans were entirely reasonable.
Well, the pitchforks are already sharpened and the torches lit anyway, so rather than let them go to waste why not drag another so-called racist before the Court of Public Opinion and see how much ratings-grabbing, head-shaking, race-shaming we can squeeze out of it. After all, the media got so much gleeful, hand-wringing mileage out of Don Sterling and Michael Brown.
The only problem is that Atlanta Hawks controlling owner Bruce Levenson is no Donald Sterling. Nor is his email racist. In fact, his worst crime is misguided white guilt.
I read Levenson’s email. Here’s what I concluded: Levenson is a businessman asking reasonable questions about how to put customers in seats. In the email, addressed to Hawks President Danny Ferry, Levenson wonders whether (according to his observations) the emphasis on hip-hop and gospel music, the fact that the cheerleaders are black, the bars are filled with 90 percent blacks, kiss-cams focus on black fans, and timeout contestants are always black has an effect on keeping away white fans.

I hate our knee-jerk, pussified, everything-is-offensive society.

It is "Racist" because he used the word "Black"....if every one of those was replaced with "African American" it would have been just fine.
Sarcasm is hard to project on the net.....I think it was fine though, what do I know though, I am an old white guy??Gone but not forgotten, I remember you too Dookie!

Absolutely enrages me how the only incidents of supposed racism reported in the shit-media are of white racism towards black. You hardly ever hear mention of any racism shown towards whites, perhaps because overall as a race we are less constantly butt-hurt, riddled with a sense of entitlement to never be offended, and simply not crybaby fucking pussies.
Blacks, hispanics, et al, as their spokespeople would have you believe, are constantly crying in a corner over the supposed injustices committed towards them by evil whites who spew racist venom at every turn.
Actually, if I was black, I'd be more offended by my supposed spokespeople (read: Sharpton, etc), than anything else.Last edited by Maniacal; 09-08-2014 at 01:39 PM.

Hard to be honest these days.

Owners care about one thing and one thing only.......... Lets guess???? Thats right making MONEY!! If the arena was packed night in night out and their was a waiting list for season tickets the owner wouldnt give two shits what race the people buying them are... They could be black, white, or candy striped as long as he's making money.... This is about an owner wanting to make a profit .. Very little to do with race
