Ohio Teen Dies of Caffeine Overdose
Ohio teen dies of caffeine overdose. Supposedly they found the equivalent of 250 cups of coffee in his system. Well, they said "70 micrograms", which turns out to be 7 grams. If my math is right!. So he took 7 grams in one shot.

The one news report stated he took it as a preworkout. There was no mention of a dare or the teenager trying to look "big in another person's eyes".
The website should have had a warning and the product itself should have had a warning. Hard to believe some kind of caution sticker wasn't readily visible on the site or the packaging. This isn't the first time I've seen an article or report of a death from caffeine powder.

So pretty much he had 2 scoops of high stimulant pre workout in his body ??? I'm wondering if this kid had a heart condition or some other disorder . Because 7 grams isn't a ton(to much I know) for someone to have in their body .

A kid in my old gym ordered some bulk caffeine powder and threw "a few spoonfuls" into his gym bottle. The next week I found out he ended up in the hospital.

Twenty cups at just 100mg per cup would be what, 2000mg or 200 grams?
Not just two scoops of a pre-workout powder.
"In most cases, you are advised to avoid taking in more than 300 mg per day, and even less if you are particularly sensitive to caffeine."

My math was wrong idiot me. But exactly how many grams were in his system? 7? If 7 , I get why he did die. That's a ton. A lot of preworkouts are using 3 different types of stimulants, not just caffeine anhydrous . This kid must have snorted a pound of this caffeine

2,000 milligrams is 2 grams. One thousand milligrams to a gram. If a Coke has 50 milligrams of caffeine then you would have to drink 40 of them to get 2000 milligrams or 2 grams worth of caffeine. It doesn't seem like so much in a young kid. Maybe he threw off his electrolytes (like that gal that drank all that water and suffered from swelling of the brain)?

How do we know there wasn't a warning on the site? Besides warnings are only going to do so much, but if you do not have a proper scale that can measure in milli grams, then how would he know how much he's taking?
I've made that mistake many years ago and measured it wrong and ended up taking around 2000-2500 milli grams. It surely fucked up my day.I like women with curves: Sweep, abs and pec/delt tie-in.

For you 'Mericans on the board:
Milli means one thousandth of a given unit
Micro means one millionth of a given unit.
He did not die of 70 micrograms of coffee or he would have been dead just looking at a cup of coffee. Some information was lost and the reporter is only telling half of it. They found 70 micrograms of caffeine PER milliliter of blood. Normal levels are around 2-10 micrograms per milliliter in coffee drinkers.I like women with curves: Sweep, abs and pec/delt tie-in.
