Gut Bacteria Controlling our food cravings?
http://universityofcalifornia.edu/ne...rule-our-minds
I just came across this and I found ti to be pretty interesting. The short version is bacteria in our body can send out signals for certain cravings of food which can be fat, sugar, etc etc. Which could be a leading cause to the obesity epidemic in the U.S.
However it later goes on to say that the bacteria craving signals can be altered by the foods we ultimately choose to ingest instead. Within a short amount of time, maybe even 24 hours the bacteria can change its signals to crave those foods instead.
So I guess in the end it really just adds up to a person choosing to live a healthier life and stop eating cake every time the body sends a signal for it!

Maybe this explains why when one isn't eating junk, they don't crave junk. And when someone eats junk, they do crave it.
Definitely an interesting thought. Thanks for the share Isn
