Juliana Malacarne is the Anatomic Bomb Wins Physique Olympia!
By Steve Wennerstrom, IFBB Women's Historian
With little question, this year's second edition of the Olympia Women's Physique Showdown had been drawing major pre-contest anticipation since last year's inaugural event that saw Dana Linn Bailey flex her way to the first-ever title. In just three years this pro division has generated huge interest, and on a weekend when the enormous Olympia Festival was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mr. Olympia and the female bodybuilders were competing in the 35th annual Ms. Olympia, this rookie event was holding its own in attracting attention.

Reminds me the video of WPD(live broadcast) was so bad. It consisted of someone turning the camera on and leaving.

A Money Factoid: Here's the prize money for this year's Physique Olympia:
1- Juliana Malacarne, $15,000
2- Dana Linn Bailey $7,000
3- Tycie Coppett, $3,000
4- Karina Nascimento, $1,500
5- Sabrina Taylor $1, 000
A total of $27,500 for the fledgling Physique Olympia.
The second Ms.Olympia in 1981: The total prize money was $25,000 and the winner - Kike Elomaa won $10,000. And at the 1984 Olympia, when Cory Everson won her first Olympia, the prize money was still $25,000 and Cory's winning purse was $10,000.
