One more thing...as someone swole enough to make people stare a little longer, who I am seems to be VERY important all year long. One slip up and you now represent every other built dude on the planet.
Who these guys are is WHY they got to where they are.
Understanding that is how you do the same.
Why is my chest this big? Because I didn't just look at the bodies. I listened....to who they were inside, the drive that got them there and the struggles they overcame. It gave me a road map to follow. Something you won't always get on a discussion board or simply reading articles.

Also, the knowledge that Ronnie was competing at the same time he was still employed as a cop is one thing that got rid of that "lazy bodybuilder" image....as if none of them worked.
That is all about who he was as a person.
A picture gives you zero insight into how to live to look like that. I guess that may be enough for people who have no desire of ever being one of the big guys in the room.
Pictures won't tell me how much focus Ronnie needed to do that.Last edited by Professor X; 09-29-2014 at 05:45 PM.

This is where personality comes in, Not during the actual contest judging though (unless you're DLB of course).
Regardless of anyone;'s opinions on Kai and Phil's comments/actions at the conference or even onstage, Kai lost due to his physique, and I highly doubt you'd find any qualified judge who would say otherwise.
There have been plenty of very good bodybuilders who placed well throughout their careers despite having reputations as being asses.

People still talk about the shooting in Columbine and Hitler, too ...
Absurd. It is human nature to talk about things that are DISTURBING.
They are also talking about the "Grapefruit" incident, too- sadly. Maybe in some way it would be great if this 2014 Olympia stage incident would wipe out the Grapefruit thing ... because a BB as great as Kai should not have that lingering ... it has nothing to do with his BB.
But I fail to see how anyone is advancing their writing - there are no better or worse writers cropping up. It is just the same people writing about the topic of the moment. If you happen to mean , me -- I was writing a long time ago and stopped for a while. You are probably not aware of my history.

True. I suppose it is also human nature to use hot topics to their own advantage.
The comedy is in not realizing that stopping the action leads to less chance to market yourself.
There are at least a couple of posters here using the act to further their own career.
This wasn't chernobyl. It was a dick measuring contest.

I believe Nancy can defend herself, but my temptation to chime in on this one is a bit overwhelming.
Do you know how goddamn obnoxious you are here pestering and antagonizing someone who was minding her business and not doing anything more than sharing her thoughts despite the fact that some don't agree or aren't entertained by them?
Do you have any idea who you are talking to? In case you don't know, the woman you are pestering has more connection to the bodybuilding industry than you ever had or will have and although I know how she is, I am unsure she wants someone else to share detail other than a fact that is publicly known here, which is her marriage to Ron Noreman, who walks around shredded year round at 240 (if I have weight correct), preps IFBB pros and NPC competitors (a very popular Olympia competitor included), runs a supplement business, and financially manages some heavy hitters in the sports nutrition and bodybuilding scenes.
I suggest you think about who you're talking to once in awhile. It might do you some good and save you from looking like a fool.
