Loni was spotlighted by Rx Girl last year.

    Loni Pfeil, NPC Figure Competitor!

    July 25, 2013

    Date of birth: 4-10-1981

    Hometown: Ocala, Florida

    Career: Health/Fitness and network marketing

    Competition history:

Panhandle showdown show 06’ was my first show, I took 2nd callout. 2nd show was Greater than Gainesville placed 3rd. 3rd show Tim Gardner's Hurricane Bay placed 2nd. Took a couple years off due to work and travel and basically finding my way through life. Then last year in 2012 I did the KY Muscle Pro/Am show I took 2nd place out of 21 girls and with an IFBB judging panel. This was my comeback show! Then just last week I did Junior Nationals and placed in the top 10 out of almost 30 girls.

Next competition: I plan on doing the North Americans in 10 weeks!

How has your life changed since you adopted this lifestyle and started competing?

My life has changed because I am way more disciplined than ever and it has made me stronger in almost every other aspect in my life! When you are strong it reflects in all aspects of your life.

What have you found to be the best way to balance family, friends, career, this lifestyle, etc…

I have learned to balance this lifestyle along with friends work and family by surrounding myself with friends that are like minded and lift me up. Actually competing and this lifestyle has helped me be more organized and successful in my past jobs and my career. Balancing family becomes easy once they understand why I am doing what I am doing. They even come to me for advice now! To find balance it truly helps to know exactly why you are doing all of this in the first place. Once you have figured that out then the rest follows. Surround yourself with positive like minded people and family will always be there and they will understand eventually.

If you could change places with one competitor for the day who would it be and why?

If I could change places with one competitor for the day it would have to be Candice Keene. Just because I really like her as a competitor. And not to mention she is at the top which is what she has worked so hard for. She seems to just be herself and enjoying the sport and just having fun with it! That’s the way it should be. And she seems to live a healthy lifestyle. A lot of girls aren’t so healthy. She is on top of the world and I would like to be the kind of example she is. I want to enjoy this sport to the fullest and help inspire others in the exact same way she does.

Name two of the most inspirational people in your life and tell why they inspire you.

The first one is my fiance Chris Schaub, being a cancer survivor and back at competing when he thought he never would again... he was determined. No matter what he keeps going. There are a lot of days that just watching him go keeps me going. He inspires me because no matter the task he always goes for it and he never doubts himself or even me. Even with the recent passing of his father and all his travel for work he still manages to run another business and compete. He gets it done no matter what! The second person is a top competitior in this industry of which I do not want to mention the name of right now. Later on I can release the name. Anyways I was her workout partner when she got her big break in the figure world. She inspires me because I have literally watched her go to the top without the politics and doing the things that a lot of other girls have done to get up to the top level. I have no respect for that! This person did it all on her own and I watched her. She is why I am so determined to reach the top myself. Because I know it can be done without all of the other stuff. She is the true vision of health!

Tell one recipe or supplement you can’t live without.

One supplement I cannot live without is my Visalus Go Drink for my pre workout! Its an all natural energy drink. I like to stay as natural as possible on supplements.

Tell about a typical training day for you. What exercises, how many sets/reps…etc…

Typical training day for me… I like to mix it up! But my favorite training days are leg or shoulder days! For legs I would do Plyos or supersets. Plyo routine

Jump squats 20-25 reps- jump lunges 20-25 reps, step ups 20-25 reps each leg, star jumps 20-25 reps, single leg squats 50 reps each leg, sumo squats 20-25 4 sets each.

In closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to?

My loving and supportive fiance Chris Schaub and my coaches and good friends Yolanda Alvarado and Luis H. Santa.

image.jpg I am not ashamed of the girl on the left because it is just something that I had to go through in order to rebuild my physique and my metabolism after some damage was done due to bad guidance.... Today the picture on the right I am in a much healthier happier place. I took one full year and let Ifbb pro Victoria Adelus and Josh Field help me recover and restore my metabolism and lost muscle mass. In my Opinion most "coaches" can get you lean but they can not do it safely nor do they take the time or know how to work with athletes after they have competed to rebuild their metabolisms. It is so important if you want longevity in this sport!
I was lucky enough to only go through a little bad period of being misguided but the result of that was my body doing the opposite of what it was needed to do causing me to get pretty sick and pull out of the national show that I was aiming for. Going through that made me realize just how dangerous this sport can be if you do not take care of your health or are misguided. I speak to so many women that have been through what I have been through and some way worse! You know in your gut when something isn't right GO WITH THAT FEEING and reach out to others for more advice but BE CAREFUL! Observe people before you trust them. I am here to tell you that there are TONS of coaches and even large teams out there that probably shouldn't be coaching anyone.
My advice to anyone who is going through this after competing and maybe you are working with someone to rebuild your metabolism and physique.... It is not going to happen quickly especially if you have been misguided for a long period of time then the worse the damage is. I had to take an entire year and gain some weight but I will say NOTHING HAS BEEN MORE WORTH IT IN MY LIFE!!! There were times where we couldnt get a response from my body at all and there were times where I thought "will this ever end..." But at the end of the day I kept my focus on MY STRENGHT GAINS IN THE GYM and how much weight could push safely. I just put my head down went to work every single day and kept the end result pictured in my mind. THERE IS NO EASY WAY PERIOD. THERE will always be ups and downs but if you keep pushing you will thank yourself daily that you did!! during a process like this KEEP FAITH, PUSH HARDER, FOCUS ON THE THINGS YOU CAN CONTROL (like your STRENGHT gains) and getting all of your meals in LIKE ITS YOUR JOB! Most importantly DONT GIVE UP! It is one thing to be physically strong but you have to train yourself to be mentally stronger as well.
KEEP PUSHING FORWARD SUCESS IS WAITING FOR YOU😊👍
