Lobbying for a Men's Classic Bodybuilding Division
I feel this division would be more popular and it would let men pose like men and not models...JMO set up just like Classic Bodybuilding in the Arnold Amateur...what are your thoughts?

It's based on a limit in weight per height...so judging would be based on symmetry, top to bottom balance, and conditioning... I have met a ton of MP guys that would do it...even pro MP guys that I have talked with over the years. I feel people should be judged on a compete physique and not covering legs up...this is just my personal preference and we can get away from the guys not training legs...fn annoys me! i have numerous MP Pro agree this would be a great idea and they love it...
The below pics are what i think the division would represent.

You want a physique competition...without board shorts. If physique isn't reeling in the fans by the millions......

I can agree with that...but along those same lines, you are basically taking bodybuilding back to light heavy weight status at NPC level.
People may say they want that when asked....but no one pays big money to see people who aren't that far off from where they are (by that meaning serious weight lifters).

Men's Physique hasn't already eclipsed the fan base of Men's and Women's Bodybuilding?
And Classic Bodybuilding would include posing similar to Men's Bodybuilding. Yes, MP strikes poses, but there's no characteristic flexing.
Don't they already have Classic Bodybuilding in Europe?Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

Dave Palumbo has stated at least once during an episode of HMR that Classic Bodybuilding would be a perfect fit as a new division. I definitely agree.

I am talking about the classic bb division being added and the judging is based on set weight per height, conditioning, symmetry, and balance within the weight/height restrictions to bring a different look...I feel it fill a large void for a lot of people that would rather pose like a bb and not a model with frickin board short on covering up half the body.
a balanced, complete top to bottom physique with great conditioning is what is rewarded

10-23-2014, 03:42 PM #11my ear is on the ground floor and I hear a lot MP guys that would love the opportunity to compete in this category...even some pros I know like the idea to show the leg development to have a balanced body and not 18in sticks hiding under their shorts
i just had one MP pro tell me "i think its the best idea since sliced bread"..."Seriously".....

Who knows Heath. A handful of rabid fans like you and me.
The better question might be, who would Joe Public (or Josephine Public) rather pay a ticket to see... Mr. Olympia or Mr. Beach Body?
Why have Fitness, FBB, WPD, and Figure?
It's just another division. Different display, different physiques, different motivations or preferences by the competitors. I bet it would fly.
