What is CrossFit?
Not a loaded title. I am curious to see the different opinions. Not being silly really I want some data to write about this coming month.

It is a mixed bag. Some bodybuilders and strength people scoff at it while some former fbbs hasve taken to it. Some say you could easily injure yourself doing it, others criticize the movement of some excercises like the pull ups , kipps, etc.

Good question. I'd like to hear a few descriptions as well.
From what I have seen- it's cool...just not for me.
The thing that's funny is- you see a lot of bodybuilders that go crossfit and then critisize the hell out of bodybuilding once they settle in to their new found love. On the other hand- I've heard a lot of bodybuilders critisizing the hell out of crossfit.
Personally I find it hard to critisize any competitive sport...no matter how strange it may seem. If it's something people enjoy and it keeps them in shape...why bother saying something negative? Just don't do participate in that particular sport.

What is CrossFit?
Likely then whatever the person is passionate about. Most physique competitors I have met just talk physique sports. A Vegan is different as philosophical parameters are often entrenched in their lifestyle.

The definition of CrossFit is "Constantly varied, functional movements, performed at a high intensity. Which means that any bodybuilder who follows an undulated system for periodization fits into the definition of CrossFit. The best way to explain it is CrossFit is a lot like religion, some great churches out there with a good culture others not so much.
