wife's been wanting this for sometime... but her eyes are pretty bad plus she has astigmatism. . A couple of years ago we went to at least 5 doctors on lasik, rpk, and lens implants.
The implants were most expensive... over 8K.
RPK is an older procedure that may leave more scar tissue.
out of the lasik doctors we say, 2 said they would not do it... as they would have to cut too much.
Only one said yes. ... the son of one of the doctors who said no... he was pretty bold about it... which we didn't know how to take it... either he's supremely skilled, or arrogant, delusional, or maybe all 3.
We decided to pause, but given the 2 years since, hopefully tech has improved.. one of the doctord who saisld no basically told us to wait a couple of years.
One thing slso for sure. .. the Europeans are ahead of us technique wise... it definitely takes longer for methods used for years there to be approved in the U.S.Last edited by PTB; 11-14-2014 at 09:13 AM.

I know two people who have bad results. One gets major eye pain and has for 2 plus yrs. they tried a second surgery but it didn't help.
The other person has to wear some kind of yellow tinted glasses because they damaged something in her eyes.
Hope u have great results!!Proud member of The Church of What's Happening Now, with Joey Coco Diaz (podcast on iTunes)
