Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Been up late prepping things for tomorrow's epic cheat! Finished cutting up fresh veggies, baked the sweet taters, scalloped AND mashed potates, dough for dinner rolls, and a batch mini pumpkin swirl cheesecakes.
Will be up at the butt crack of dawn to make a breakfast frittata before my teenager takes over the kitchen. This will be her first time flying solo on the turkey, stuffing, and gravy. Fingers crossed we all don't end up in the ER, LOL!2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Watching the Macy Parade on TV right now. Shit is always amazing. I never had a problem shopping with them simply for all they do for NYC area. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

^I was watching it too. A family tradition here. Growing up in central NJ, my dad took the fam to see it in person. Really amazing to see Snoopy floating over your head!

We keep things pretty basic as well. There are 5 of us - me, hubby plus 3 kiddos ages 6-14. My mom is visiting from NJ for the long weekend. I make all the food here and bring it to my sis in law's house just a short drive up the road. There are 4 of them, both their kids are teenagers. She can't cook (one year she put Miracle Whip on the turkey to baste it ) but she has the bigger house. Plenty of space to spread out the buffet and I don't have to do the dishes!

I will be traveling about 70 miles to see my dad and other relatives. It's always a great time to see family and eat lots of food. Let's hope that there is no lake effect snow.
