WWE wrestler CM Punk joins UFC!
I'm watching UFC 181 live and Punk has just confirmed it in a live interview with Joe Rogan.

CM Punk UFC bound?
WWE star meeting with Dana White tonight
By Nate Wilcox
December 6, 2014
mehow CM Punk, a sports entertainment superstar and former WWE something or other, has become one of the hottest free agents in the MMA landscape. He's split from the WWE and is free and clear of any contractual obligations. He's also 0-0 in MMA and 38 36 years old.
But he does train with the Gracies in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu -- although Rener Gracie will tell you he's no black belt.
Regardless, in a star-starved MMA environment the man with name recognition and "needle moving" abilities is king.
So I'm sure you'll be excited to hear that UFC president Dana White revealed to Jim Rome that he'll be meeting with CM Punk tonight in Las Vegas at UFC 181. Here's what Dana told Rome:
"He left the WWE for whatever reason, he's a huge fan of the UFC, he's been training for a few years now and he's interested in fighting, so I'm interested in talking to him.," White said.
"CM Punk is coming to the show this weekend, and we're going to talk. ... The biggest challenge is... the UFC is like going from Pop Warner football right into the NFL. So, I don't know. We would obviously... he's not a guy that we would do what we did with Brock (Lesnar). We threw Brock right to the wolves. Brock started fighting all the top heavyweights in the world because of his wrestling background. But CM Punk, we would bring him in just like any regular fighter, and he would fight a guy with a similar record to his, which is 0-0."
So that's interesting.
Just to clarify a bit, Rener Gracie's comments weren't entirely dismissive of Punk's chances in MMA. In fact his comments hold out a few unicorn and rainbow laced dollops of hope for the desperate fan and greedy corporate exec:
"Man, he's remarkable. He's in the top tier of students that I've ever worked with as far as his retention ability goes -- his athleticism and his ability to train for long periods of time, because he's very resilient and very athletic," Gracie told Chuck Mindenhall of MMA Fighting.

I must admit, I am more interested in Punk the MMA fighter than Punk the WWE wrestler.
Gone but not forgotten, I remember you too Dookie!
