I really want to start developing healthy eating habits and exercise. But where do I start?
I am going into my mid twenties, and I am starting notice that I cannot eat like I used too anymore. Not saying I am a pig, I just don't take healthy eating and exercising seriously enough. I need to change that. I am interested in getting into new ingredients and cooking more for me and my family. But like I said...Where do I start???

Maybe a little too late to respond to this post but here it goes anyway:
Not that I claim to be an expert in any way but I think the single most important thing is to NOT make any immediate, drastic changes to your diet. Take things one step at a time. I think most people fail at dieting because they make such dramatic changes and simply cannot adjust mentally...so they just give up.
A good starting point might be eliminating certain foods from your diet (you'll have to do the homework on your own to determine what foods you should nix). Get used to eating clean foods for a while and limit yourself to having a cheat food maybe once a week. Then start reducing portion sizes and eating 4 meals a day instead of 3...then go to 5...and so on.
I really believe the key is to do this in a way that's going to be sustainable for you. If read through what's on the internet, pick a diet and dive right in...it's likely you'll be sick of it within a few weeks and give up. Happens all the time.
Take it slow and focus on making improvements to your diet every week.
Best of luck!
