Mr. Hatch, who credits a daily regimen of nutritional supplements for his vigor at 77, has spent his career in Washington helping the $25-billion-a-year industry thrive.

He was the chief author of a federal law enacted 17 years ago that allows companies to make general health claims about their products, but exempts them from federal reviews of their safety or effectiveness before they go to market. During the Obama administration, Mr. Hatch has repeatedly intervened with his colleagues in Congress and federal regulators in Washington to fight proposed rules that industry officials consider objectionable.

On May 29, 2014, Pitts introduced into the House the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2014 (H.R. 4771; 113th Congress), a bill that would expand the list of anabolic steroids regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to include about two dozen new substances and would establish new crimes relating to false labeling of steroids. This type of steroid enhances muscles.[22] The bill would establish a penalty of up to $500,000 against those found to be falsely labeling their anabolic steroid products.

Everyone seems to miss the point of our esteemed leaders doing their level best to protect us and look out for our best interests. The banning of evil steroids and pro hormones, compounds and the like is all in our best interests. If they were as safe a cigarettes and other tobacco products and can't get into the hands of our dear children we wouldn't need them to be regulated. The same with alcohol, who ever heard of any ones death due to alcohol, much less being available to minors. You know in your hearts that one of these days someone, somewhere will die from steroids. So thank our benefactors rather than question their integrity and love for us all (he said while laughing and shaking his head).

for every 1 bber that uses these otc orals i bet there are 2 or more teens/young adults slipping them past their mothers as sups ordering from sup companies and screwing themselves up for life. seen it many times. im for the ban. i hope its real this time. its been the hype for about 8 10 years now haha. besides. the adults that know what their doing can get any aas already right? even cheaper than the heavily marketed sup companies. i dont see the loss...
