Default Ortiz Rips Dulce for Cutting Weight Like Bodybuilder: Claims He Doesn't know what he is doing

Ortiz rips Dolce for cutting weight like a bodybuilder claiming that doesn't work for MMA and if overweight needing to cut that simply means you are out of shape.
Saturday night was an MMA extravaganza, with three solid cards, filled with memorable fights. Among those in the winner's circle, former UFC light heavyweight champion,Tito Ortiz scored his second victory in a row since signing with Bellator. Many old school fans were pleased as punch with the outcome of his fight with Stephan Bonnar.
One thing that consumes every fighter's mind during the days leading into fight night is weight cutting. Popular diet/conditioning coach, Mike Dolce has been working with the sport's top athletes for several years now, but MMA Junkie reports that Ortiz feels there is really no need for his services. He feels that fighters that don't make weight are out of shape to begin with.
Dolce has been under a magnifying glass over the last several weeks since retired UFC superstar, B.J. Penn ripped on him for his methods and more recently, Kelvin Gastelum spoke out about being snubbed by him. He has largely seen success with his clientele though, and still works with the likes of Johny Hendricks and Ronda Rousey.
Tito feels that the success Rousey and Hendricks have had were because they already knew how to cut weight, not from anything Dolce is doing. He goes on to state that Dolce is a "bodybuilding weight-cutter" and says that it's not suited for wrestling or BJJ.
"Guys like Dolce, they're bodybuilder weight-cutters," he said. "It's totally different. To compete at wrestling and jiu-jitsu, you can't cut weight like that. I talked to B.J. Penn about the way he had him cutting weight. You don't do it like that. If you're a bodybuilder, yes, cool. (Dolce) knows what he's doing with bodybuilders. But when was the last time Mike Dolce stepped into the cage and fought? He doesn't know.

"The UFC just wanted to make him a superstar by selling merchandise and getting big gyms. It's all a marketing tool. The guy doesn't know what he's doing."
"He's just doing what he thinks bodybuilders do, and it bothers me that people go to Mike Dolce to cut weight when he cuts weight for bodybuilders, for people who want to look shredded, and not like a top athlete. That's the wrong recipe. You've got to go by somebody who's fought in the cage or wrestled at the highest division."

I am getting the idea they think cutting 15 pounds 2 days before the fight is better than coming down slowly like a Bodybuilder? That is what I got out of that, am I interpreting that correctly?
Gone but not forgotten, I remember you too Dookie!
