F.E.A.R. — A Call to Arms
F.E.A.R. — A CALL TO ARMS
By Poptart
I’ve never started a thread; I’ve never made a post and I don’t even have a screen name; but I’ve been here from the beginning (actually, way before that considering I’ve known Dave Palumbo for 40+ years and if I didn’t beat him in an arm wrestling contest this website might not even exist, but that is a story for another time). I regularly listen to Heavy Muscle Radio, I troll the boards and I’m aware of most everything that goes on (including some behind the scenes stuff).
So what do I want? Same thing you do. Same thing I always did. To have a site that entertained me and focused on a “lifestyle” I’ve always embraced. Rx Muscle was supposed to be the Hardcore Holy Grail. It was supposed to be The Truth in Bodybuilding. You came to listen to some of the greatest minds in bodybuilding and learn. You heard about the newest supplements, diets and training methods. No one did better interviews than Dave. No site had better contest coverage. You came to listen and share stories with others of similar mind. You came to look at pictures of your friends who competed in some small show no one ever heard of and no one (not even you) attended; except Rx muscle was there. Or maybe you came just to look at some hot chicks (or guys, no homo) or laugh at Jimmy the Bull’s antics. But then it changed.

Yep, no need to diss "Poptarts" article just because a little kerfuffle breaks out!

No one's head is as big as mine. Not even Dave's. My coconut measures nearly 24 inches around. =8^O
And, fwiw, I was not involved in the aforementioned kerfuffle and had no part in any thread closure or deletion.
I went to the gym then out for some post-workout proteenz and saw your post elsewhere.

I really enjoyed this article - it hit the nail on the head perfectly.
As I stated in previously deleted comments, I have a ton of respect for Dave, his talent & drive. There were bad decisions made, but I don't think there's a single person here who's never made a bad decision.
The key is to recognize your mistakes and learn from them, then move on to bigger and better things. I sincerely hope Rx evolves, survives & thrives.

Hey great article as was said before and I'm inspired for what the future has in store for RXMUSCLE. I love all the radio shows and Internet TV programming that Rx has to offer and if that makes me an RX fan boy then so what . And let's keep these awesome forums pumping along by being active and involved.

BOOM!!!!
Echoes sentiments I spoke on earlier.... very good to see even RX Muscle deal with "The Truth"... and that there's a path back to glory.

Personally, I don't care if someone disses me or my article. I welcome any and all comments. I don't know what kerfuffle broke out or otherwise, but I have some idea.... and here's another idea: If your a mod or admin than be just that. If you have control over deleting and editing threads and posts, YOU NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL! YOU ARE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD! In essence you are a referee and can certainly post or offer your opinion however if you are getting rabidly involved in the drama or creating it, you aren't doing your job....
Please if you cannot do your job as a mod or admin then simply do us all a favor and give up those responsibilities and just be a member. If you have to delete something you started than you shouldn't have likely even written it. Go on back and re-read the article, b/c frankly I don't give a shit who you think you are or how important you think you might be....you don't fucking get it!!!
I'm not trying to be the Sheriff, but I will be the law (or voice of reason)....
Sally: I never had the chance to meet you before, but thanks for taking the time to comment and the kind words.

I was just informed that the thread was accidentally deleted when a post was trying to be deleted. if that is the case, I certainly apologize however, I'm still gonna stand by what I wrote b/c even if it ain't applicable to this case, I've seen it happen before and it shouldn't!

Vince: I'm just relaying what I was told, I didn't necessarily say I believed it. But thanks for looking out for me!
