CBG's IML MPE log
What up? Been a long time since I have done a log on RX. Big thanks to IML for once again allowing forum members to try out their awesome products. Shout out to Heavy Iron as well.
So I have had a rough year (well last year I guess you could say) injury wise but think I have still managed to make a bit of progress. I am also in a total natty 30 day PCT right now from gear. It's about over though thank goodness, lol. So this stuff should help me to kick start some great workouts leading into ramping things up.

So I am trying the product for the first time as I sit and type this, about to head to the gym for legs. Perfect right? It mixed up easily. I diluted with about 15oz of water which I think is maybe a bit much because the flavor is almost non existent. I'll try less water next time. Only other thing I have noticed at this point is my lips feel kinda tingly, weird. My lips are pretty dry from all this cold weather. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'm back. Pretty good workout. The "pump" seemed to settle in about mid workout. I experienced nothing that really felt different than usual until I got into hamstrings about halfway in. I was supposed to do 4 exercises but only did three. I had a great pump in them, and was hitting the sets quickly without much rest period. Maybe next time I will try taking it a bit earlier than the 1/2 hour before. Maybe 40 minutes. I did have a meal not too long before I drank it so that may have slowed it down some. Exercises were this:
Squats-6 sets
Walking Lunges with DBs-3 sets
Hacks-3 sets
Leg Extensions-3 sets
Lying Leg Curls-3 sets
Seated Leg Curls-3 sets
SLDL-3 sets
Standing Calf-3 sets
Be back next training session, most likely Sunday.

I used dose two after work yesterday. I have been working in a gym on the weekends over the last 8 months or so, when my shift is over I'll train on Sundays. I meant to drink the MPE about 40 mins. before working out but it didn't happen. I got busy and didn't get it in until about 20 mins. before. And again I will say the pump settled in late into the workout. Again I diluted too much, no taste. I guess I should read the directions, lol. I read to the "use one scoop" part and then no further.
I did chest, shoulders, abs. My shoulder is still pretty weak but I just train it with movements that don't hurt too bad and keep things lighter than before. I hope it heals up at some point. It's been an ongoing process for about a year now with many Dr and PT visits along the way. Anyway... as the workout went along I noticed towards the end of chest and into shoulders I was getting a great pump. The shoulder portion of the workout went great even using light weights.
Workout was:
InclineDBs-5 sets
Flat DB Flyes-3 sets
Stretch Push UPs-3 sets
Cable Crossovers-3 sets
Side Laterals-3 sets
Standing Military Press-3 sets
Rear Delts-3 sets
Hanging Leg Raises-3 sets
So far my assessment. Product does improve your pump with basically no negative effects. I don't get shaky or any of the usual complaints you hear with some of these type products.

Ummm, it just doesn't taste very good. Hate to say anything negative when you receive a free product but I'm honest and it just ain't there. I tried it in a much more condensed fashion last night and now know I will be diluting it heavily moving forward.
Getting a good pump and having a little extra endurance left towards the end of your workout, yeah, it seems to help with that. I may try a double serving next time and see how that feels. Last night's workout went really well:
Wide Pulldowns-5 sets
Meadows Rows-5 sets
Kayak Rows-3 sets
Deadlifts Conv.-6 sets
Back Extensions with DBs-3 sets
Pull Down Abs-3 sets

Alright I have found the sweet spot I think. Today.... 8oz of water, 1.5 scoops of MPE, 2 Stevia packets, ice. Pretty good. Got the tingling feeling on my lips again. 40 minutes pre. Workout was great today, pump was awesome. I think I needed the little bit extra to really feel it, and today I did. I hope it's like this next time, we'll see. Today's workout:
Superset Straight Bar Cable Curls and V-Bar Tri Pressdowns
5 sets
Superset DB Curls with Tate Presses
3 sets
Superset Rope Curls with Band Pressdowns
3 sets
Superset Barbell 21s with Rvs. Grip Pressdowns
3 sets
Hanging Leg Raises
3 sets

Yes sir.
Well my last two workouts I have followed the same method, 1.5 scoops, 8 oz water and about 40 mins. pre workout. Both were excellent workouts, Legs-Friday, Chest/Shoulders-today(Sunday), near crippling hamstring pump going on Friday, I skipped my last exercise, it was crazy. So I would say it's working well. Improve the taste and this stuff is pretty awesome. It has no bad side effects that I have noticed either.

Two more workouts in the books. Back last night and Arms today. I don't know if I am getting used to the MPE or what, but it seems that my workouts are getting better as I go along. I'm sure part of it is I'm back on gear and it's starting to kick in. But I have to say that MPE is helping too. I like 1.5 to 2 scoops now. I did 2 on Tuesday, 1.5 today. Seems like the right amount for me. Still no sides even at 2 scoops. Good pumps, better endurance, I guess what I have noticed the most is less rest time between sets required, which in turn seems to lead to a great pump.

Two more in the books. 1.5 scoops for both. Legs Friday, Chest Sunday. Really there is nothing new to report. MPE will add a little boost to your workout with no side effects experienced with some other pre workouts like being jittery or clammy sweaty or any of that jazz. Drink down, drive to gym, tear up weights.

Two more in the books. 2 scoops for both. Lower Body Tuesday night, Upper Body Wednesday afternoon. Changed up routines to a more hybrid type, powerbuilding, lol. Anyway MPE seemed to fit in nicely with this at 2 scoops. I'm staying at 2 the rest of the way out. I had an insane chest pump on Wednesday, it was actually cramping up. Pretty good considering my shoulder is totally f**ked up these days.

Well another week of this product in the books. After now taking multiple doses of MPE over the past few weeks I'll give a final assessment.
Advantages: Energy, Focus, and increased pumps in the gym
Disadvantages: Taste, could mix a tad better
Overall Grade: B-
My favorite aspect of it is......the energy and focus more than anything else. In fact I pulled it as a pre workout and took it to my workplace to use there. It really helps me get through the day and focus on what I'm doing. This may be a crazy way to use this product but after getting used to it, this is how it best fits into my life.
