    I've gained 160 lbs since I started lifting (37 years ago) . I make no claim to having an impressive physique at my age though. ;-)

    Weak minded your a wanker, I competed in front of 100 plus people not just once, become British champion weightlifter and got the medals and certificates to prove it, I was going to go for the European championship with shit loads of different countries, but due to a serious injury couldn't go, and I've got pics to prove that you fucking maggot, let's see this 290lb animal who probably has 90lbs of fat and water retention, then I will believe you, other wise your full of shit

    As LEE HANEY used to say: "Simulate; don't annihilate!" ...... the breaking down of muscle fibers is the stimulus for growth; however, if you overdo it and break down too many fibers (which results in excessive inflammation), you won't be able to recover from the training effort and you'll actually risk losing muscle. Lactic acid buildup merely signifies that you've burned through a lot of ATP in the muscle cells and have accumulated a lot of waste products.

    How old were you when you started?

    If the average person gained that much it would be pretty impressive. If you were underweight then I understand.

    If you are taking measurement from when you were younger than 16 then I don't count that.
