RIP Alex Azarian
His wife Nga posted on FB that he passed away suddenly on Jan 24, leaving behind two children. Alex was one of the people I met when I started competing in California and had e-met him years ago. Such a great guy and such a terrible, terrible loss.
If you aren't familiar with him, you might be familiar with his wife's photography at CA shows (at least in the mid 2000's). I think she was the official photographer at at least some of Lindsay's shows (sorry, trying to remember back a number of years when I was new to the Bay Area).
RIP Alex.

Awful news. I met Alex a few times...he used to do a close friend's diet. Alex seemed like a very decent guy and had nothing but passion for bodybuilding.
Alex was still a young guy. Anyone know what happened?

No amateur got ripped like Alex. If you have seen his before picture he went far. I kept thinking he is going to turn Pro for sure but he missed the mark in his qualifiers. I actually contacted him about coaching about a year ago. I think he was a teacher by trade if I remember right?
Rest in Pease Alex.Gone but not forgotten, I remember you too Dookie!

I know he was posting on some of the boards I was on at least thru 2009 but I don't recall much in the way of anything more recent than that.
He was known for coming in peeled.
Here's an IronMan Mag photo shoot w/ Alex in 2008:

I found this site where you can donate to assist his family with funeral and living expenses. I goes without saying that they should NOT have to be worrying about funeral expenses for a 45 year old husband and father. Please donate!!
