If making a high protein (30g per serving), low carb (under 2 net carbs), low fat (under 1.5g) great tasting protein pudding (that's 90% whey isolate; 10% micellar casein) was so easy, I wouldn't be the only one selling one (with tremendous success).
HINT: People are willing to pay a little more for a quality product! Otherwise, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, and Audi would be out of business.
Very accurate statement. I started a thread recently and asked what it is that drives people to make decisions on the supplements they purchase. The overwhelming majority responded by saying that ingredients, company reputation and necessity (buying just the basic supplements) are key in the decision making process. Even though not everyone can afford to buy better quality supplements at a higher price, there is still a niche market out there for those that can and I think that's a good position for Species Nutrition in the supplement industry.
With the companies that recently were caught with spiking the protein levels in their supplements, I hope that consumers will be smart enough to realize that it may be necessary to pay more for a quality product.
Just like anything else- people want high quality product at a low cost. The world doesn't work that way and when it comes to putting something inside your body...paying more is worth it...even for those that might have to stretch their budgets to do so. If you have money to spend on supplements in the first place, do yourself a favor and purchase something with quality ingredients. Doesn't need to be a Species product but don't go looking for the cheapest shit out there becuase it's probably just that....shit.

It's ashamed that there is so much confusion on the market. People don't know whether to succumb to hype or listen to their gut instincts that tell them science and quality is what they truly need to embrace.

It is a shame but you're going about dealing with that issue in the right way. Having something like "Ask Dave" is more than just entertainment...it's education. I think a big part of the problem is that people aren't properly educated on what supplements to use and why. Keep doing what you're doing. It could change the industry. Who else is putting themselves out there offering advice and answering questions for FREE?

We gotta start somewhere... And educating people to the science of supplements is a Huge part of the solution. Anyone who blindly buys nutritional products without doing their research first and finding out "why" is 1. Wasting their hard earned money. 2. Wasting their time using products that do nothing to benefit them, health and recovery wise

Just my opinion here: It wouldn't hurt to have the athletes talk about the supplements more as well. Right now all you get is a photo of some pro sipping product out of a shaker. While that does catch your eye and absolutely goes into your subconscious...it's not enough. These guys should talk about what products they use and why.
"Ask Dave" is a great first step and WILL have an impact on viewers. No doubt about that. Personally, I'd love to see some of the athletes talking about the supps they take in addition to that. Just my 2 cents.
Good stuff, Dave. This is the only board I'm on and the one bodybuilding website I actually like. The direction of RX Muscle educating and not FORCING products and practices on the industry is why I'm here.
