CLEVELAND -- Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel entered treatment on Wednesday, adviser Brad Beckworth told ESPN.com on Monday.
"Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate, and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step," Beckworth said.
"On behalf of Johnny and his family, we're asking for privacy until he rejoins the team in Cleveland."
Manziel is expected to be in rehab at least a few weeks, but the amount of time depends largely on what doctors recommend, according to a source close to Manziel.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

A 22 year old in rehab ??? Might as well put 75% of kids that age in rehab. Looks like Browns are doing image clean up with him ...

Who knows. Hopefully for the better. I am guessing seeing a psychologist with making daily decisions that could affect his career.

Yeh I dont get the issue with this. He himself checked into rehab BEFORE he had a major issue like a DWI, getting suspended from NFL for abuse, or anything of that nature. Should he party less? Most certainly, but him doing this is a sign of maturity in that he realized a problem and is trying to nip it in the butt before it escalated to something potentially tragic.

So what do you go in rehab for other than alcohol or drug abuse? What did he actually do?
