Did he get a renewed mag contract? Its been weeks since any news. Does his placing at the Arnold have a bearing?

Oh I have no idea. Isn't he still with MD or they let Big EV go too? Ev is one of the good guys

Well he still has Prime Nutrition paying if not with the mags. I haven't seen much promotion of him coming from them.

No he isn't with any mag. What else is there besides MD? Flex ain't going to happen.

As far as Prime not exposing Ev, that's his choice. He doesn't seem to want to be in the public eye much anymore.

When did it get announced he actually lost the mag contract? Last I heard a month ago they were still in negotiations.

I think the limited coverage has more to do with the new approach to magazine coverage in light of social media and his sponsorship with Prime. By releasing only a photo or two and not doing video its cheaper as there are only a few of us that do field production video work anyhow. Its not like David Baye, Adina, Peter or Bob are going to pick up a camera and shoot along with edit video. They need flunkies to do actual media production work for them as they are all personalities, the on air pretty people that fashion themselves to be the brains of their operations.
David Baye has been doing what Jason at Siouxcountry used to do and visiting the athletes Facebook page and taking a few images or getting one they provide for release and making entire threads around the photo release as if that's legitimate coverage. As usual this isn't a forward thinking approach, but merely taking something that others have done and using it as a stop gap measure considering they don't want to spend the money and they will get as much play doing paparazzi style so-called journalism as trying to do something more professional. It will save them money for drinks in Columbus

Furthermore, that photo was done by Charles Lowthian out of Australia, which is interesting as he typically contracts with Flex.

I've gotta laugh a bit about the release of this photo. Was it purposefully leaked so that it could be played up on a couple of forums vs Evan or Prime's Facebook pages? The view counts would have likely far exceeded what it will get on forums, but careful placement of occasional photos versus indepth video coverage of the athletes leading up to shows is smart and more cost effective way to cover the news and maintain value

I really dont see it. He always posts these looking crazy a few weeks out. To me, he looks the same as his "few week out" shots from a year ago...

Good point. How many times do we see guys leak pics of themselves a few weeks out and then see things turn to shit when they hit the stage. Not saying that will happen with Evan. I really hope it does not. Just saying that I bet most that are preping for the AC right now are looking pretty freaky.

I kinda agree with this in part. It's not just Evan. Too many huge n pumped looking gym shots have not translated into stage wins for a LOT of pros. One exception is, of course, Yates.
