I guess everyone has their own definition of what great legs should look like.

Is it mass or separation/shape?

There are a lot of bodybuilders that had massive legs but not the greatest shape or separation. Probably even fewer that had a nice balance of mass/separation/shape. Even the guys that had that balance seemed to loses it over the years. Ronnie was a great example.

For mass I always liked Paco Bautista.

For separation/shape- Frank Zane.

Platz could probably be considered to have the best balance between those two categories.
