Sanders Roasts Sanders, No hood shit

Deion Sanders is such a dad.
The NFL legend called out Deion Sanders Jr. on Twitter for saying he only eats "hood doughnuts."
In response, the elder Sanders -- in front of his 912,000 followers -- reminded his son he has a trust fund, a condo and his own clothing line called "Well Off."
"You're a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund. Stop the hood stuff!" Sanders followed it up with another tweet that included the hashtags #versacesheets #Huxtable and #Trustfund.
All the kid said was that he liked doughnuts from the hood.

I think thats awesome, the kid has a gifted life and his dad is reminding him that he's not hood and gangsta. That persona or look may seem cool to kids who are well off and dont live in that environment but pretty much all that comes with being hood, and gangsta is not good in the end. Right of his dad to remind him of who he is. You see it in sports a lot especially kids who came from nothing having a hard time leaving the hood behaviors alone after they turn pro and have success. I never can understand that.

I think it is amazing that you can go from the hood to being able to provide your kids with a million dollar trust fund. That kid is blessed.
I agree with what you wrote but let me ask.....is the goal to run away from "the hood" or become successful enough to give back?
I have straddled the line in the past. I make six figures but still know people who put the black in black market. I don't open my house to everyone, but I may be the most open person around when it comes to befriending people from different backgrounds.
Some may cross the street for the guy walking at you with tats and a shaved head and a scowl on his face. I'm likely to say, "what's up".
