CLEVELAND -- Johnny Manziel has been released from a rehab treatment facility, multiple sources told ESPN.

The Browns expect Manziel to attend offseason workouts starting April 20, though they could see him earlier than that.
Manziel checked into the facility on Jan. 28 in an effort to "be a better family member, friend and teammate," family attorney Brad Beckworth said in a statement issued to ESPN on Feb. 3. The exact nature of Manziel's treatment is unclear, but the facility that treated him specializes in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The former Heisman Trophy winner spent more than two months in the facility.
The Browns will work Manziel back into the quarterback room as part of a fresh start with a new offensive staff headed by coordinator John DeFilippo and quarterbacks coach Kevin O'Connell, who trained Manziel before the 2014 draft.
Do you think this is going to change Johnny Football for the future?2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

If he wants an future in the NFL, he should drop the "Johnny Football" tag.

No hate on Manziel, even though he is truly irritating, but let's be completely honest here.
The guy was a good college player... How many good or great college players truly become stars or even above average in the NFL.
That percentage is lower than winning money in your local state lottery.
It's easy to run from 285lb DEs in college, but when you get to the NFL and the best of the best are 300 pounds and chasing you down, you are going to get blasted.
Manziel is not NFL material.

All players.
Teo comes to mind in regards to defensive players who were great in college, but not in the NFL.
The NFL is the best of the best of the best.
Very few college players are really really good in the NFL.
Most are like Michael Sam and they get relegated to a practice squad somewhere.

You could beg to differ with:
Larry Fitz
Andrew Luck
Leshawn McCoy
just to name a few off the top of my head ATM. Many of the skill players i agree are great in college though but in the NFL its a 1802013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

Of course NFL players who are great had to go to college. My point is that very few college players become very good or great NFL players.

Those 3 players above were great in college too
anorher example was Russell Wilson he was an under the radar QB in college but turned out great in the NFL
nkt all college players are bad in the NFL but there are some
major flops without question
what you think about Mariotta and Winston coming up this year? Any potential?2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

I guess if you listen to the scouts they all say Winston is more NFL ready,, but at what cost?
If he's got the skills on the field, does that mean he's going to be great?
I sense a potential Vick scenario where he pisses it all away.
I hope I'm wrong though.
At least with Mariotta you have a guy who's not a mess off the field.
Talent is there, but I don't see them being an Andrew Luck so to speak.

Agree, i don't think we will see a luck or wilson come out of college for some time. Winston has had too many off field problems like Manziel which will distract his potential in the NFL.
I do not think either will make an impact out of the gate. Mariotta maybe in a few years under a good wing in the NFL.. Maybe to backup rodgers? Who knows.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

I agree. Let them sit and learn.
Not going to happen though. The NFL today is going to draft them high and toss them onto the field immediately.
They are going to be put to flame without any hesitation and that's going to be a problem.

Agree with you here. Just like how the jets got Tebow to fill the seats. Now Ryan is gone (Finally) and he is in buffalo and has a stronger looking team with a lot of players who are under the radar and will make an impact.
personally the players that make the most in the NFL are the ones who do not get enough credit and those are lineman, not skill position players who are usually the biggest bust.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year
