Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel threw a water bottle at a trash-talking fan hounding him for an autograph Saturday evening in Irving, Texas, but the bottle hit a wall instead of the heckler, no charges were filed and no arrests were made in connection with the incident, officer James McLellan, spokesman for the Irving Police Department, told the Beacon Journal by phone Sunday.
A Browns spokesman said the team had no comment on the incident, but noted Manziel informed the organization about it.
Manziel and a group of his friends were in Irving for the AT&T Byron Nelson, a golf tournament on the PGA Tour.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

Do you think he missed on purpose? Unfortunate incident handling the heckler but at least he informed his football team about it.

In his current position I think he is going to have to learn to develop thicker skin or he is going to be throwing a lot of bottles and bringing more trouble upon himself that he can not afford. He has to know that he has contributed to at least some of the vitriol that is coming his way with his poor decision making. The best thing is to laugh it off, put your head down and play good football.

Stupid... All that "work" to go to rehab, and having to prove himself to the team and teammates and what does he do?
Look like a damn idiot.
He will be out of the NFL soon enough. He has learned nothing.

He has yet to earn the respect of the fans, league or - most importantly - his teammates. Manziel has talent but it remains to be seen if that can transcend from the college to the professional level.
Stupid off-the-field incidents like this just set him back image-wise, and that all plays into the respect part.

I would hope he wasn't out with friends. If he was he needs to lose them quickly.

Leaf had his issues with the fans and reporters. Manziel is unfortunately starting to follow that path with giving the Lions the middle finger on MNF last year and then this incident - and not even taking the 'rehab' into consideration. I loved him at Texas A&M and that New year's Eve Bowl game play was one of the best plays that season nation-wide. But he is behaving like a pure fuck up so far.

You'd think he'd have someone in his corner to show him the ropes.

The mentality needs to change hence rehab, but it looks like that is failing .
He is a role model to almost millions that look up the Browns and support the browns orgnization. He needs to sit down and realize who he is playing for, what he represents, and who is watching him every single second of the day.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year
