Future of Bodybuilding
The future of bodybuilding is intact.
There was a time when the skinny jeans and metrosexuals wearing designer t-shirts to train in that cost upwards of $50 made it seem as if big muscles were the dinosaur to the new slimmed down Mangina model. But going to the gym lately has been more motivational than sad.
I see a lot of guys going for more than just abs and women are finally learning they can lift weight too and don't have to be pussies about it.
Big muscles get less "eeewwws" and way more "oooooohs" now.
Death to skinny jeans.
Viva la grande biceps.

I wonder if it's because the men's physique guys are slowly starting to look more like bodybuilders. What do you think accounts for the trend?

Human nature.
It's also called the Dr. Suess Syndrome. Having a star on your belly becomes a trend...so everyone gets stars...then the guy with no stars becomes a trend....so no one wears stars.
Dr. Suess The SneetchesThe thing with bodybuilding though....no matter how hard you try, you can't just ignore HUGE ASS MUTHERFUCKING MUSCLES. And you can't ignore that everyone can't build them....so it can withstand a trend. That is because no matter what, it takes something special to get real big and the price is way bigger than just buying a belly star.Last edited by Professor X; 07-16-2015 at 12:56 PM.

Rhoden, like Cedric McMillan, combines The Freak and the aesthetic ideal.

The Future of Bodybuilding, is in internet personalities with big muscles....not bodybuilding competitions except for the most devoted to the sport.

yeah the youtube guys are running bodybuilding now a day...mike rashard, marc lobliner, pham vu
also the instagram trainers with brand new jordans that match their outfit with brand new t-shirts is still a thing with clothes like flagnorfail, lvlt clothes and such...maybe not skinny jeans but ppl still wear designer gym clothes
the days where ppl wore beat up clothes to the gym are gone, but at least ppl aren't wearing string tank tops as much which is a win for all of us

This guy has already been in more commercials than all of the previous Olympia winners combined. He's becoming a household name whether you like him or not.
It is guaranteed more people know him than who know Phil Heath.
That is just the way things are. No one but hardcore often old school gym rats really follow competitions anymore.
I am betting someone like CT Fletcher has more followers than Jay Cutler.....
