BB.com not streaming the Olympia this year?
I heard from a friend that BB.com will not be streaming the Olympia this year. Something about somebody wanting too much money. Anyone else hear this? If so, Dave help us out and set up a webcast on RX Muscle!!!

BB.com poster claiming no BB.com Olympia live stream scheduled this year over contract negotiation problems.
"I was in boise this week at BB.com for work(see signature)...
Met with guys responsible for expos and they all confirmed BB.com will not have a booth, nor will they sponsor a live stream of the Mr. Olympia.
Now, just know this isn't BC BB.com is being cheap, it's because the organizing company tried to TRIPLE their show fee for Bb.com which they just couldn't do(we're talking more money than I'll make over the next 20 years of my life)."

Everybody happy
No more weird camera angles and annoying commentary LOL.

Lots of individuals and companies claiming they can do better than bodybuilding.com did while paying a large fee. Not sure why AMI/Weider would let anyone else do it it for free or provide them support (money) to do so. The bb.com production of the Olympia was technologically unparallelled especially considering the use of those huge boom cranes and camera switching that we don't see utilized by anyone else in the industry. Surely the talking heads could have been better some years, but that's merely one element of a professional production and not usually the first one considered. It would be like fans producing the next Marvel movie with consumer cameras and their friends playing the parts. Would be well like what we so often seen in the fitness industry.

The commentary is TERRIBLE!!!! Larry Pepe is good, but the other host is brutal!!! They talk right during Kai and Fred Smalls routines! Sad that the IFBB did that. Was that Robin Changs idea or AMI or Manion!!

It's funny....because when i said hello to some of the crew members running the event....like camera men / master controls....THEY had no idea what bodybuilding was ...
I was like huh... Geez... Let me be the director of the cams at least...
The people in charge of the production didn't know anything....
Oh ...and lets not even talk about the Arnold Brazil, livestream .... geeezzuuussss....who directed that ?
For the past 2 years we have covered the Arnold Hall Of Fame live with great support from the fans and we love doing it....we've also done live NPC & PRO shows.... can we get a break!? I promise Dave and Chris won curse LOL

I hope BB.com and the IFBB can get things sorted out. Personally, I don't care who does the webcast as long as they do it.

I imagine you guys need to put your financial bid in to be considered.
Another player in the market that's still not got their contract approved for streaming the Tampa Pro, but that is taking on staff in preparation is Flosports.tv. On a per hour rate of pay they are offering coffee running production assistants as good or better a rate than the photographers and videographers at the major in-house bodybuilding sites:
-Opportunity: Production Assistant
-Production Company: FloSports
-Rate: $200/day
-Location: Tampa
-Non-Union Job
Production Assistant needed to help setup and run a live webcast of the Tim Gardner, Tampa Wings of Strength (Bodybuilding) in Tampa, FL. This person will be running cabling, staging computers, monitoring camera operators, and whatever else is necessary.
Must have great attention to detail. Must be able to lift 75lbs.
Call times are as follows (subject to change):
Thurs, Aug 6 @ TBD-12 hour day (setup day)
Fri, Aug 7 @ TBD-12 hour day
Sat, Aug 8 @ TBD-12 hour day
*Note: If a day does go over 12 hours which is common in the sports industry, this rate would include any overtime.

Anybody on commentary would be better than those tools from BB.com.
