Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I thought Christian's article was well thought out, well written and make very valid points. By nature, we all love to be revolutionaries and a good majority of the people are complete conspiracy theory junkies. But the plain truth is that while not every decision is in bodybuilding seems fair, the majority are indeed correctly made.

Calling out the number one bodybuilding and fitness organization in the world (NPC/IFBB) is really easy to do. They have a bulls eye painted on their head. But I have news for you. I've prepped bodybuilders who were 100% natural for life and I've seen these supposed "natural organizations" claim these athletes "failed the polygraph test" and refused to allow them to compete. One guy was a bantamweight at 143lbs and the organization head said his "test" was inconclusive. Ironically, his main competition in the show (a competitor he would have easily beat) was best friends with the promoter of the show.

So, do favors and politics sometimes come into play (in any organization)? Of course. It's a "judged" sport. But when viewed as a whole, we're damn lucky to have such a solid organization to compete under (even if I don't always get press passes).

Lobliner was pissed off by the email he received from a former client letting him go. That's understandable. He should consider himself lucky that the competitor actually emailed him and told him the truth about why he wasn't using him. I'm sure we all have lost client/athletes over the years and never knew why. Lobliner will calm down and eventually, one day, will want to compete in the NPC again. It's inevitable.

I'm the first person to berate and verbally tell off Christian when I think he's off base. This time around, however, he hit a homerun.

CD as with Singerman, Romano, etc drive traffic and Dave is focused on that NOT what todays crop of site volunteers, past loyalists, etc think.
In fact, from a corporate perspective an actual board of directors might look at the current crop of posters and think it better for business if everyone leaves and the entire site go in a different direction.

It's just such a shame that such a shit article would be the catalyst for riling up the troops. I understand John Romano returning. He's a great writer and has the wit and wisdom behind his articles and commentary but the Priest/Boston essay was just click bait crap that did exactly what Dave hoped it would. Nothing more.
And...to further Musclepapa's point..seeing the results from a "corporate perspective" ...expect to see a lot more of the same thing.

LOL you like to throw out those digs about my disagreements with MD staffers regularly thinking its a sore spot even though when I was critical of them you took me to task telling me not to. What gives? Anyhow, I'm back doing some incidental work with some of the folks over there at various titles under Steve's banner. So not sure how you can figure that into your matrix sport.

In the grand scheme of things why is it a shame?
What else matters if this is a commercial enterprise that goes away under its current forum moderated to death leadership anyhow? While moderators and forum directors whatever the title can talk about their moral righteousness relative to volunteerism I don't think a one of the complainers is paying any money to keep the site afloat. They in fact have their own personal reasons as any volunteer does that "motivate" them to do what they do. Just saying. Real talk.

Well...you asked so here it goes..
It's a shame because for the 5 years I've been here(lurking mostly I admit) I came to expect a level of activity that rose above ALL the other forums out there. Say what you want but this was the best forum for a long time OVERALL. If I wanted awesome contest coverage I got it...not any more (no USA's really?) If I wanted straight talk about certain "supplements" I got it...not any more. Those sub forums are ghost towns If I wanted to chill and shoot the shit with some of the coolest people in this sport I got it. Not any more. Don't get me wrong there are still cool people here but it is not the main place to find them. Speaking of which... I don't know Curt James but guess what? I'm glad he's here. I don't wan another pit. I want to learn, have fun, relax, share info..not be bombarded by kids crafting their memes all day on a bodybuilding forum. Is he quick on the trigger...not as far as I'm concerned.
Oh and not to mention that a couple shows I really dug are gone.

That's interesting !! But Chris Aceto is only on Rx muscle. If Chris Aceto started his own bodybuilding website and put a 1000 dollars fee a year to have access to this website I will without any hesitation subscribe to his site. Here it's for free, so I'm really grateful for Rx muscle for that and forever loyal to this site. (I have to admit I do go on muscular development now and then for contest coverage or other content etc... However it's becoming less and less frequent)
