Compare- NPC/INBF/OCB
This is kinda a spin off from my post in the Fem Chem section….
I competed in the NPC (figure) for the first time this year. I do plan on competing again for the 2010 season, but I want to explore my options with different organizations, primarily looking at natural organizations….and if there really is a difference.
Please share your experiences, thoughts, recommendations, etc…

INBF has too many restrictions on their competitors...
banned Dave Goodin for appearing in Ironman now he writes for Ironman...
banned Angela M (cant think of her last name) for a situation w/ a supplement co. I believe.

I compete in w/ NGA, FAME and IFPA as a Pro.
Soon WBFF, UFE and IDFA.
I like them because all the competitors look the same not to BIG and not too small. Plus we drug test.
With these orgs you get more chances for exposure w/ photogs who actually submit to mags and supplement co who work w/ natural athletes. They have more divisions to chose from. I do have to travel but I dont have a problem w/ that. Its nice to get to other places.
I believe you compete in an org that you can use as a step to promote yourself. Find one that fits you not the most popular.
I believe all orgs have their pros and cons.
The figure gurls are "soft" they perfer the hard look- Ive seen it on the Pro level.

There are no restrictions on the INBF atheletes your thinking WNBF (pros) and honestly they aren't more restrictive then the IFBB.
Depending on who you talk to you will get a laundry list of pros and cons about all the organizations. I recommend you play around in a few shows and see what feels best for your goals and personality.
I've had a fantastic experience with INBF/WNBF and have developed an unbelievable network of friends through the organization. FYI I'm in NJ. I know others don't prefer it. The NYC INBF shows get a decent amount of woman and I know the south jersey OCB show is really a nice little show growing itself into something great. So try a few on for size and then stick to an organization you can fit and grow with.Last edited by LuckyDog; 07-14-2009 at 04:46 PM. Reason: typos
