So on the topic of Golds I had to mention this, I don't know of its a corporate policy but at my golds they just came out with a new policy. My training partner comes as my guest and since I have a premeir membership I can bring 1 guest per day. Now the new policy states that premeir members may only bring guests before 7pm. After 7pm the guest is required to pay a 15$ fee. It mentions this is due to some people abusing the guest policy. This may be the final straw before I go to another gym since we typically work out after 7pm. Anyone have any simmilar experiences?

Well I had the premium membership which included a free guest so why not use it. Now that they are charging me for him coming after 7 he will just have to get a membership.

How the hell do they enforce that? Keeping track of who came in at what time with what guest and if they are still there past 7. They probably can't enforce basic stuff like doing the proper walk throughs, refilling spray bottles, paper towels and collecting dues on members with declined billing info, etc to even worry about this.
On paper, it is a stupid rule and not member or customer friendly. And from the point of view of the gym management, an un enforceable rule."Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" -Dr. David Banner

They will lose a lot of members because of this. Last thing any gym needs are cancellations. Bad move by that gym.

It's an already existing gym owned by a guy and his wife.
Stan and Eric Spoto have been training there for a while now. Not sure about the particulars involving Stan and CT becoming involved.
Guess they were going to either buy it from them or become partners. They were going to stick CT's Iron Addicts gym name on it.
Let me see if I can find the flyer that was put out for the Grand Opening that never happened.Last edited by Sandpig; 08-21-2015 at 06:59 AM.
