I usually eat only when I'm not hungry; when I'm hungry I seldom eat...

It might work for some people, with certain foods (very easily digestible so that the quantity of food that is being absorb/process and usable for repairing the cells and building tissue is enough with this method) and with certain training protocol. Forget it for those who workout 1hour+ like 1H30 or more. With tons of set (basically that annihilates muscle and very catabolic) and that will need much more food than the sensible guy that train under 1 hour. If this guy wait for hunger to eat the food that would be too late for the muscle to be optimally repaired. RIP muscle tissue. ^^

I could never do 3 or 4 meals a day my body would shrink. My metabolism is wayyy to fast. I need to eat 4000 calories a day just to maintain my size. I wonder what Dave would say about the 3 to 4 meals a day thing that is circling around. My guess is it would have to do with your body chemistry inside.

Then why do you have your own client on these boards only eating 4 meals? If she can eat 6 times a day would it make a difference?

Muscle Protein Synthesis has been shown with research to be better on less meals spaced further apart to allow for protein levels to reach their refractory stages before being spiked again instead of being spiked more often.

Seems like your client is doing just fine with 4 a day ATM2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

The answer is very simple, she asked me to do a plan with 4 meals a day. I did it. She's having great result. Is it optimal ? No, will it bring her very good results if she sticks to the plan : I have no doubt it will.
The 4 meals a day was her condition, i respect it. That's my Job to respect her condition/terms and to recommend the best course of action within that realm.
By the way i did not even read the Biolayne stuff and won't lose my time on that.Last edited by davidcua; 09-03-2015 at 02:54 AM.
