Listen, the only guy ahead of him is FLEX who's an extremely gifted bodybuilder. Jose is strong in the "size game" but he is even stronger in the conditioning game. He may look a little blocky from some angles, but his symmetry actually isn't bad at all when hes in his poses.

Size + Conditioning = win$ ---and runner up at The O is quite a win.

PfA, I enjoy many of your thread starters, but on the subject of one Jose Raymond, you are an idiot.

Here's an old bio...

Brief Bio: I was born December 29th, 1974 in Boston, Massachusetts. I am the youngest of 8. As a young kid I excelled in sports.. everything from soccer, football and wrestling to baseball, basketball and track.

By the age of 12, I was already working out regularly and growing like a weed. Though I was only 5' 4", I was already a very muscular 150 pounds by the age of 13. By the time I was a sophomore in High School, I could already bench press 315 pounds. When I was 18 Years old, my brother Tito convinced me to compete with him in the New England Bodybuilding Championships. I won the teenage division in front of what seemed like a few thousand people and I have been hooked ever since.

Since then I have placed in the top 6 17 times in the IFBB, and won 6 IFBB Professional Shows. To date, I have placed 4th at the Mr. Olympia in the 212 class, and it is my goal to be crowned the 212lbs Mr. Olympia!

I second what Curt said and i would add one thing : Jose was freaky great at the O, don't you see that PFA? I would have not complained about him dethroning Flex. Flex is a magnificent athlete, but Jose was massive with INSANE conditioning. A little Dorian, the judges did not reward Jose the 1st place (I think he deserved). But that's fine, Jose is 2nd best in the world according to this judging panel, 1st best 212 bodybuilder in a lot of bodybuilding aficionados !

Yeah, he looks real blocky when hitting his vacuum front double bicep shot.

I think Jose beat Flex in a few shots. The real question is whether Jose is gaining on Flex or was Flex a little bit off?

I think maybe this year judges give Flex the nudge because he's reigning champ. If he leaves door open next year and Jose comes in same or better than this year maybe he takes the 212 Olympia.

I agree, and Flex was quote "his all time best". Flex is an amazing bodybuilder, and was probably at his best, but Jose was so much improved and freaking ON this Olympia I really believed the judges will attribute him the 1st place he deserved. But hey he's still the Arnold Classic Champion and 2nd on Olympia stage…
