Geoff Roberts' "sick fuck" training journal.
Thought I would start a training journal on here. As some may know, I am THE autoimmune train wreck. Type 1 diabetes, Addisons Disease AND Hashimotos. In other words... fate does not want me to look good... at all. Well... fuck off fate! Here is a 10 month before and after beginning at the point that I decided to start "bodybuilding" again despite being told it was a waste of time with Addisons disease.... we'll see about that. The lower photo is a few weeks ago. No drugs besides what I need to survive of course... a couple different catabolic corticosteriods, T4, and insulin. I use Iron Mag Labs products but none of the fun hormonals .... yet!

Some more information: I am 5'9" and in the "good" photo above I was weighing 190 dry naked morning weight, down from 208ish in the fatty fat kid top pic. Probably about the same weight now. 190 dry AM... NUDE.
TRAINING is pretty basic bodybuilding training. Heavy, but RARELY go under 6 to 8 reps. usually in the 12 to 15 range. Arms are different, I would never go below 10 reps on arms and sometimes do workouts where I don't go below 20 reps. Train about 5 days a week. I would say right now I am training at about 80% capacity.
DIET is basically no carbs unless I have low blood sugar which is corrected by plain rice cakes or raisins. Usually the rice cakes, as I am not a frutose fan. 100 grams MAX per day, usually less. Protein varies day to day, a low day would probably be just under 200 grams, a high day just under 300 grams. Lots of broccoli. Fat is high. I eat a lot of 90% dark chocolate, almonds, whole eggs, peanuts, bacon, turkey sausage, cheese, 80/20 beef, olive oil poured over chicken breast, etc. I lost 20 pounds while adding muscle eating all these fatty foods. Its a miracle!!!

Gradually getting my strength and size back. Was able to press 225 x8 on incline at the end of my workout yesterday. Pretty happy with that considering.
Flat dumbbell presses super set with flat flys for 3 sets.
Low pulley cable cross overs for 4 sets
Incline barbell press for 3 sets. That's it!

Only 5 days into my IronMag stack and the differences in pump and vascularity are already clear.

So I am just under two weeks into the cycle. I decided to use the first two weeks to really push the limits with my diet and put on size. I am up 14 pounds in two weeks, 190 to 204. Which is probably way too much, lol. I can gain weight like a new born cow if I want to. Now I will be coming back down for the final two weeks of the cycle and hopefully looking my best at the end in the low 190s.
