Just benched 175 3x with a testosterone level of only 124??? What's going on? Anybody else been through this at 40+ years old?
I know I sound a little strange guys but my dr just did bloodwork and my testosterone level is only 124. I am 47. I just went back to the gym for the first time in a few weeks and decided to do some benching. I did 175 for 3 reps. I was totally shocked that I was that strong! Has anyone else gone through this? Just wondering. If my 2nd bloodwork test is still a low t level, the dr wants me to try testosterone therapy.

What did you bench as a younger man? Strength is variable, right? Was your 3-rep max much higher years ago when I'm assuming your test level was higher.

That's good if its good for you. 124 is definitely low testosterone. You should take your labs to a Dr and get on some replacement test. But test level is not necessarily correlated with strength.
