Ok so I'm going to give this a shot. I give it about a week until I stop updating this so enjoy while you can.
Here's my back story. Back in the day I was a complete bodybuilding douche (BBD). I mean taking the big cooler full of Tupperware to work. Never went to lunch with coworkers because I was living it 24/7 and couldn't sacrifice my gains. If I was with a girl who couldn't understand why I couldn't take her out to eat because I was in cutting mode then she was kicked to the curb. As far as I was concerned anyone in the gym who wasn't giving it 111%(yes 111% because that's the difference between 1st and 2nd) needed to get the hell out. Getting the idea?
But this BBD finally meet someone who he thought could come before his quest to be twisted steel with sex appeal. And then came kids and everything that entails. It was all good and I kept training. They crazy thing was my gains were coming faster than ever. Go figure? Maybe it didn't matter if that chicken breast was 7oz or 8.
But then I started having health problems. Mostly stress induced, as I would latter discover. Next came medication that caused weight (fat) gain and I had little energy for working out. I gave up and totally let myself go. Until one day I decided I want to see my kids graduate and start to really enjoy life. So I went through a ton of docs until I finaly found one that knew what he was doing. Slowly got of the meds, learned to deal with stress better and started back in the gym. That was back in May. I've lost 40 pound and honestly could stand to lose 20 more. 35 or 40 if I was still a BBD. I have more energy and am feeling good about the way I look (can you say shallow?). I am very surprised how fast my strength is coming back.
Stay tuned fans for the first trading entry.Last edited by BananaHammock; 10-28-2015 at 07:10 PM.

Ok I'll try to get this caught up.
Monday- missed my work out. I suck. I have a 4 day work week and Monday is one of my days off. I was going to do it early but over slept and had a ton of other stuff to do that day. I'll have to make it up somewhere.
I promised myself that I wouldn't let working out consume my life again so I give myself 1 hour a day split equally between lifting and cardio. Needless to say both have to be intense (at least for me) and no messing around. I usually get in two exercises sometimes three and every now and then just one.
Tues- back. I don't do squats and deadlifts in the same week. This is squat week so that's why there's no deadlifts.
Pull up- one set of a pitifully low numbers of reps
Pull downs- I can't remember how many sets. I start with a really wide grip and aim for 12-15 reps.
As I add weight I'll start to narrow my grip until I'm at shoulder width. At that point I'll do a few underhanded grip sets. Then I switch to that V? looking handle. By the end I get like 6 reps.
Dumbbell rows- started at 15 reps and went heavier until I could only get 8
Underhand cable rows- started at 12 reps and ended at 4
Cardio- I like using the stair master or elliptical. Today was the later. 30 mins of HIIT. I did 2mins low and then one minute low. At the high end I aim for a heart rate between 150-160.
One hour. In and out.

Wednesday- legs
I was a complete legs day duche way back when. Planning leg workouts like 3 weeks in advance. If you didn't squat, why even workout? But that was then.
This week is squats so of course this dude, I will call "El Dumbasso Grande", was doing curls in the only squat rack. Oh well there was a smith machine open so that's what I did.
Squats
No weight 20 reps
1 plate each side 20 reps
2 plates each side 12
Added a 25 to each side 10
Added 10 to each side 8
3 plates each side 6
Added 30# 4
Then I did like 3 more sets dropping the weight each time and increasing the reps until I got 12
I did three sets of stiff leg deads like 8 reps eachLast edited by BananaHammock; 10-29-2015 at 06:34 PM.
