    I'll tell you why. I bet this "champion" is an equipped lifter, meaning he uses a bench shirt, squat suit, etc. Those guys barely dead lift at all because the equipment does not help much on the dead lift, which makes their dead lift suck. So they avoid it ans say "its pretty much the same thing anyway". These are the fat fucks with beards who have an 1100 "squat", 980 "bench" and a 680 dead lift.... . because again... you cant use equipment on the dead lifts, so it represents your true strength, not your ability to use tools.
