I guess no one wants to pay some serious legal fees.

You have to assume that IFBB being the larger more established organisation are running scared, pulling out "shake on it before to much dirty laundry gets aired" manoeuvres.😑

I was speaking with Kevin from Evolution of Bodybuilding & he brought up a great point. Judging by the wording of this statement, it appears that pros are not going to be allowed to go back and forth. So it seems that the IFBB guys will have to make a choice for good.
And I can't wait to see the first competitor who does an NSL show and then an NPC one. That guy or girl will be wasting their money and time because you know they will not even place.
I'm going to read into the last sentence because that's what I have to do as a journalist and say that the lawsuits that Thompson had hanging over Manion's head were extremely damaging in more ways than one and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during these private negotiations.
The only lawsuit that Manion filed was for trademark infringement and that would have only covered the period of time that the new league was known as NPC Global. Thompson's lawsuits had the potential to be a lot more powerful so why would he make an agreement like that unless there were other factors in place?

Here's an in-house memo from Jim Manion to the district chairpersons instructing them to not do any of the behavior that was spelled out as 'tortuous interference' in Thompson's lawsuit against the NPC and Manion. And it masks the joint statement, as well.
Can this be looked at as an admission of guilt? Why would the head of an organization – and the one ultimately responsible for the actions of his subordinates – need to spell this out when that type of behavior should never be tolerated to begin with?
